  • "Great cottage."

Good value for money. Key for us were location, ability for 6 people to stay, cleanliness and possible for one person partially disabled. All were met. For large groups staying there would need to consider that there’s one bathroom, no dishwasher. For disabled people the staircase is quite steep but possible with care. We were fine with these. Location is great to explore.

Thank you for your feedback with regards to your stay at Green Pump Cottage. It's lovely to hear how the cottage had everything that you needed to enjoy your stay. We would love to welcome you back again in the future. Kind regards Manor Cottages. Property Owner

  • "Cottage very nice and cosy, but no welcome letter, no bottle of water or flowers."

Just a small welcome is always very appreciated can also be a personal letter. Wifi was not working perfect, coming and going. Just 2 toilets rolls for 9 days for 4 persons. The first night we found an insect in one of the beds. Ikea cheapest cutlery all different ones and also the plates No frying pan for eggs and bacon. Kitchen Cupboards hydraulic need to be changed as the door does not remain open. Noise coming form the roof the last floor, as there would be mouses running around, very disturbing.

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with feedback on your stay. We can only apologise for the issues that you have encountered and have taken note of your suggestions for improvement. We would like to thank you once again for providing us with feedback on your stay and bringing these issues to our attention. Best wishes, Character Cottages. Property Owner

  • "Loved our 5 nights in the Green Pump Cottage over Christmas."

I was really pleased with the Christmas decorations. We had worried that it wouldn’t be Christmassy but it was! Beds & bedding really comfortable. Small criticism would be that on one windy night the draft from the front door was crazy, perhaps a door curtain would help? Also the Apple control for TV was very slow & sticky perhaps a replacement would help. Loved the village shop & breakfast at the cafe was superb. Also dinner at The Great Western Arms on Christmas Eve was a great night. Overall we had a fab time in a beautiful part of the UK. Would highly recommend…. Thank you

  • "We love Blockley and The Cotswolds."

Unfortunately this cottage wasn’t up to scratch and a poor comparison to everywhere else we have stayed. Whilst the cottage was tired, worn out and in need of decoration, the main issue was basic cleanliness. Our first job on arrival was to clean, including picking up half eaten toast from the floor. As well as poor basic cleaning, there is general deep cleaning required. For example, the plastic at the bottom of the shower door was dark brown with dirt. There were many examples like this that would be unacceptable to anyone in their own home. So to be frank, we were insulted and angry that we had paid a 4 star price with such a lazy disregard to our experience with the basics. There were also a few other snags, such as the Wi-Fi not working properly that we weren’t alerted to. Overall, a great location in what should be a lovely cottage. But our advice to to go elsewhere, where the guest experience is considered rather than insulted.

Thank you for your feedback and we are sorry to hear that the property was not up to our usual standards for which we apologise and will take issue with our housekeeping team. Had we been alerted to this during your stay we could of had our housekeeping team return to the property to rectify these issues for you. With best wishes Character Cottages Property Owner

  • "The cottage is very well located in a very beautifull region."

We stayed here 2 weeks with my four children/ teen-agers. We had troubles with the wastes instruction. We had to call sykes twice to have our rubish get away ( after 10 days ). The cottage est very quite and charming, and there are lots of birds in the garden, I love them.

Thank you for your feedback with regard to Green Pump Cottage, apologies for the difficulties you had with the instructions regarding the waste, we will ensure that this is made clearer. With best wishes Character Cottages Property Owner

  • "Location was excellent."

Lovely village. Excellent shop and cafe. Very well located. The house was fine. It had everything we needed but all a little tired. Needs new pans. Urgently needs the seal on the shower screen replacing. Very yellowed and old. A couple of rattan garden chairs would have been appreciated. Tiny metal chairs were not pleasant. Good wifi connection. Generally a very enjoyable holiday
