  • "We were really happy with Parsley Cottage for our holiday."

It was comfortable inside and great to sit outside in the sun. The kitchen facilities were perfect. We would have liked more information about the recycling and when to put the bin out etc. Also the heating wasn't 'self-explanatory' as the instructions indicated, and we had to call out an engineer. The gas fire pilot light only ignited once and we weren't able to get it to come on again. Luckily most of the time we didn't need heating anyway and we would recommend this lovely cottage as a great place to stay.

Thank you for sharing your feedback, we are pleased that you were happy with Parsley Cottage and were able to take advantage of the autumn sun. Thank you for your suggestions which we have passed onto our Managed Services Team. Best wishes Manor Cottages Property Owner

  • "The cottage was lovely."

Central location to visit the beautiful villages. Blockley is also a nice quiet village but has a great inn. Trying to get contact with Sykes is terrible. It took three weeks, several emails and a chat session to get through to you.

Thank you for your feedback. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay and are sorry to hear that you were unable to reach Sykes. We are available on email, telephone and webchat and respond within 24-48 hours. Best wishes, Manor Cottages Property Owner

  • "Would highly recommend Sykes Holiday Cottages."

Very professional and helpful sorting an issue out for us with our first booking. Parsley Cottage is welcoming and and very comfortable place to stay. It was clean, well appointed and very cosy. The only slight improvement comment would be that the top bedroom was a bit cold but not sure if the radiator was working properly or if we were operating it correctly & when finding the cottage it would be helpful to note that it is the (3rd or 4th) cottage along especially in the dark. Thanks for a great stay and we have rebooked for February!

Thank you for your feedback. We are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay and look forward to welcoming you back in the new year (we have updated the arrival instructions to make them clearer). Best wishes, Character Cottages Property Owner

  • "Blockley is lovely, but disappointed with the cottage."

Fridge had been turned off so was full of rancid water. One radiator did not work, nor did the gas fire. Also not very clean with dead wasps in one bedroom.

Thank you for providing this feedback, we're sorry to hear that you experienced some issues during your stay and although the maintenance team were able to resolve them, we appreciate that this is a disruption. We can confirm that the radiator is working well and that instructions have been added to the guest information pack for the gas fire. We do hope this will not deter you from returning to Parsley Cottage. Best wishes Character Cottages Property Owner

  • "Had a lovely stay at parsley cottage."

Beautiful cottage. Bed very comfortable. Everything you could need in the kitchen. Couple of things could of been better. On arrival toast crumbs were all over the counter top and stairs needed a good hoover! Garden was a bit neglected which is a shame as could be a lovely place to sit! Grass overgrown and plants around the arch entrance very overgrown making it difficult to get into the garden. In a lovely quiet location. Went to the western pub a couple of times which was very welcoming. Very near to other beautiful places to visit!

Thank you for leaving us some constructive feedback. I'm really pleased you had a nice stay with us. I do apologise in regards to the clean. This is not what we expect from our team and am so sorry this is how you found the property. I will look into this. We really hope to be able to welcome you back again. • "Parsley Cottage was lovely, and is a great base for a relaxing countryside break."

Sadly, the local hotel was not offering dinner on the evening of our arrival and the local pub did not open on Mondays, so dinner on the first night was improvised with what we had brought with us. The cottage's welcome pack of bread, butter etc was especially welcome under those circumstances.

Pleased you loved the cottage and found it relaxing. Sorry to hear you were unable to get dinner at the hotel or local pub but the welcome pack was helpful. Thank you for leaving feedback. Property Owner

  • "We did enjoy our stay but odd niggles like the heating control being very awkward and tele control needing batteries oh and the washing machine being left full of dirty bedding well."

Then the sun shone and we enjoyed it all especially the table and chairs in the little garden.Note we did call Sykes about heating and tele and a man came promptly he did not understand heating either and replaced batteries for us and the man at Sykes who did not know where The Cotswolds was well says it all

Thank you for your feedback with regards to your stay at Parsley Cottage. We can only apologise about the washing, it had been left from a previous guest and our Housekeeper forgot to take it with her. • "This cottage is ADORABLE!"

It was a perfect way to spend a week in the countryside. The town of Blockley was so quaint with winding narrow streets to walk and a local pub, coffee shop, and general store. The cottage is beautifully appointed with everything you would need. We enjoyed drinking wine by the fire and reading on the couch. The beds are very comfortable with the softest linens and mattress. We would love to come back sometime!

Blockley, allows you to be able to be cooked for elsewhere without having to get in a car but the cottage also offers so much - you want to stay in to enjoy it. Best of both! Really was fantastic and cottage is so comfortable and lovely.

Moreton-in-Marsh 3 miles; Bourton-on-the-Water 11 miles; Cheltenham 22 miles.

An ancient village once famous for its silk and corn mills, Blockley lies just 3 miles from Moreton-in-Marsh and features a unique collection of honey-coloured buildings with a pretty village green, two excellent pubs, serving hearty food and real ale, as well as a village store and café, serving dinner on a Friday night. Many walks and cycle rides through the beautiful rolling countryside of the Cotswolds can be enjoyed from the centre of the village, with the Macmillan Way, Heart of England Way and the Gloucestershire and Monarch's Way all running close by. Very close by, Moreton-in-Marsh boasts many elegant 18th century buildings and is home to traditional inns, tea rooms, restaurants and individual shops to suit all tastes. The town hosts the Moreton-In-Marsh Show, one of the UK's largest one-day agricultural shows, as well as the Moreton Beer Festival, an annual French Market, and a large outdoor market every Tuesday. The highest town in the Cotswolds, this ancient market town has played host to many fairs since the 12th century and today holds a biannual Gypsy Horse Fair, craft fairs and monthly farmers' market. Close by is Bourton-on-the-Water, which lies in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is known as the Venice of the Cotswolds as the River Windrush runs through the centre.
