  • "We loved the house!"

I was a little apprehensive about it's suitability for young children when I looked at the photographs but our two and a half year old grand-daughter managed all the stairs very well. The extra toys in the cupboard were also much appreciated. We loved the village too. Sadly we had a family health crisis this weekend so only half our party could arrive and I feel sad that the other grandchildren missed the experience. Perhaps we will book for them in future.

Thanks for coming to stay at Court House. We're very glad those of you that made it had a good time and hope to have the whole party make it in the future. Property Owner

  • "Thank you so much!"

The house was beautifully presented and perfect for our stay. The communication before arrival was also enormously helpful.

  • "This was an interesting house."

We were a bit surprised when we first arrived at the layout, especially since my husband had currently got some mobility problems. We decided to use the basement bedroom because of this, and, to be fair, the description does mention that this bedroom has fewer stairs and would be best for less mobile visitors. We enjoyed our stay and got used to the many stairs. However, I do feel that there were a couple of issues with the description on the Sykes site. I don't think you can really say that the dining room table is "positioned in the nearby open-plan living/dining room" when the said table is up quite a lot of stairs to the next floor up. The basement bathroom certainly needs a grab rail as the floor is lethal for anyone, let alone someone elderly. No non slip bath mat provided. There was one to share with 2 other bathrooms. And we had to take 2 picnic chairs and a bean bag with us as there are certainly not 'sumptuous seats' enough for 10 adults if the house is full. We did feed back these comments and the owners were lovely and said they would take the comments on board. I would still recommend the house as it is very lovely, and the other bedrooms were beautiful. Also the perfect base from which to visit so many lovely places.

Great location for seeing local attractions.

  • "Beautiful property in a lovely location, would happily stay there again."

When we messed up and locked the key in the house, thankfully someone came to our rescue with another key within half an hour. Perhaps a second key for guests would be useful.

  • "Brilliant place to stay for large groups!"

The house has been freshly (and tastefully) refurbished and is clean and comfortable. We stayed as a group of 10 (five couples) and there was a good amount of space for all of us. The kitchen is impressively kitted out with every utensil you can think of, ample glasses/plates/mugs, a Nespresso machine and two ovens. Also a short taxi ride away from Morton-in-Marsh train station which was a major bonus for us. Can recommend the walk to and obligatory pub lunch in Chipping Camden.

  • "The Court House is truly fabulous!"

What a stunning property, so beautifully decorated and respectfully restored. We absolutely loved it, and it was the perfect backdrop to celebrate our daughter's 21st Birthday. Total house envy. Its a stunning property, with clear and thoughtful attention paid to all the small details, spanning facilities in the house, specification and instructions. Great location too, in a lovely village with a fabulous pub very close by. Highly recommend. We loved every minute of our stay, and hopefully will be back. Amazing!

  • "We were the second set of guests in this lovely cottage."

The courthouse is in a lovely location in the Cotsworld. Minna and Henry were so welcoming and accommodating. The house has clearly had a lot of love poured into it to bring it up to a level where guests can stay comfortably. We had a lovely time here and would recommend to anyone who is looking for a cosy cottage.

The decoration is elegant, the facilities and equipment totally complete; you will want for nothing in the house. The meeting in Blockley village is the perfect base for a holiday in the Cotswolds. The house will sleep ten and you will not feel cramped for space. The kitchen is beautifully appointed and is the ideal place to keep the cook(s) company with a glass of wine in front of the fire. All the bedrooms have very comfortable beds and high quality bedding. Perfect!
