  • "Just back from a 2 night break at Avonmede."

We had a lovely time - the cottage was very cute and cozy, well equipped with everything we needed for our short stay. The owners had left a welcome basket with butter, jam, marmalade, biscuits, bread and even a bottle of wine for us and provided a dog bed, biscuits and blanket for our pooch, which were all thoughtful touches. We thought it was funny that the dog bed was really for a much smaller dog than our German Shepherd but she tried to get into it nonetheless! The property is well positioned to easily walk around the town and down along side the river and is within easy reach of several pubs - one right opposite, which was very handy and dog friendly too. The hot tub is an added bonus, and it was lovely to relax in it after our long day out walking. I will be recommending to my friends and family with dogs - most excellent.

Thank you for the lovely feedback, we are glad you will recommend us to your friends and family, sorry your dog didn't fit the bed! But we went for a medium so it was an average size, most people do bring their own anyway. Perhaps he could fit a little bit of him in! There are so many dog friendly pubs and shops as well as cafes in Tewkesbury it really is an excellent place to bring them... Glad you enjoyed the treats we left for you too, thanks again! • "Beautiful cottage in an excellent location."

Lots of dog walks close by and just at the end of the high street. We loved everything about the cottage recently done to a very high standard. We parked close by in Oldbury Road car park for just £4 per day which you can do on Ringo app. Much appreciated welcome basket and lovely thought of dog bed, towel, treats. Would love to stay again.

We are really pleased you had a lovely stay at our cottage, and enjoyed the wonderful location. Thank you so much for the lovely feedback. Property Owner

Lovingly restored to its former glory, the cottage is a perfect choice for those wishing to experience a quaint and dog-friendly, romantic getaway.

With original low beams, and old elm floors, it is set on multi-levels, with nooks and crannies to explore – just remember to mind your head!

On warmer evenings, why not fire up the barbecue and dine alfresco out in the rear enclosed garden, followed by a relaxing dip in the bubbling hot tub?

Indulgent soft bath robes are provided to wrap up in after a lovely evening watching the stars in the secluded outdoor hot tub which is just made for two.
