“We stayed at the Orangery in November for a birthday weekend and had a lovely time.”

The location was ideal; set in beautiful, peaceful surroundings and perfect for a visit to the Malvern Hills or one of many lovely towns nearby. The facilities at the cottage were fantastic, the cottage itself was clean and comfortable and so well stocked with everything you could possibly need! The shared pool and games room were a real bonus and our children absolutely loved them. There was also plenty of outdoor space for our dog too. “We have booked a number of holidays through Sykes and felt this property was the best we've stayed in!”

The property was very clean and had a home from home feel about it. We enjoyed being able to use the indoor swimming pool. But for us, it was the games room which added that something special. Every evening we held great pool and table tennis tournaments! The location was excellent too as it was within easy reach of some great dog walking areas up in the Malvern Hills - followed by visits to lovely, dog friendly pubs for well earned meals afterwards. We would definitely recommend The Orangery. The only suggestion we would make to the owners would be for them to fence off some or all of the shared garden area so that we could have safely let our dog off the lead.

Fiona and Dan the owners made our stay wonderful, our grandson just loved the shared swimming pool with jacuzzi and also the games room pool table, oh! and didn’t our dogs just love that open space garden to roam in. “We loved our holiday home, plenty big enough for four plus a dog, every possible thing you could need is provided.”

Comfy beds, open plan living space, patio area plus shared garden and the 2nd toilet was a thoughtful bonus. Swimming pool was a real plus for us although the photos make it look bigger than it is. At first glance we were somewhat disappointed however it turned out to be a perfect size for playing in and the swim jets were very effective in allowing you to swim while almost stationary in the water. We used the pool every day. The games room is also much smaller than it looks in the photos but is good fun none the less. From the orangery you can walk into the village in about 1/2 hour, it’s a pleasant walk but there are no pavements so probably best not to do it when it’s dark. there is a farm shop, cafe, play area with animal feeding/egg collecting just 10 mins walk which is great for kids and also fruit picking based at the same place. You can also buy wine and beer here and drink it while the children play!! Amazingly helpful and accommodating hosts, nothing was too much trouble. Special thanks to Fiona who sent all our left belongings back to us. Xx

Situated just 1.5 miles from the pretty riverside town of Upton upon Severn, these charming holiday cottages are located in the grounds of the owners’ home, surrounded by beautiful Worcestershire countryside. These delightful Upton upon Severn cottages have been lovingly created from former outbuildings, and each is individually furnished and decorated to provide comfortable holiday accommodation. These three Worcestershire self-catering cottages each have their own private seating area, plus a shared lawned garden with pond, shared use of a games room with pool table, table tennis and dart board, as well as shared use of an indoor heated swimming pool with swim jet, Jacuzzi and relaxing area. These three Worcestershire cottages offer accommodation for up to 10 people, making them ideal for family groups. About the location

UPTON UPON SEVERN

Worcester 12 miles; Great Malvern 6 miles; Tewkesbury 6 miles; Cheltenham 18 miles.

The pretty country town of Upton upon Severn lies on the banks of the River Severn and boasts a variety of delightful 17th century buildings and attractive shops, including 'The Pudding Shop', along with traditional inns, cafes, restaurants and its very own museum. It also plays host to many annual festivals, including Jazz, Folk and Blues Festivals, as well as the Sunshine Music Festival. This thriving small town has its own marina, a vineyard and well-stocked farm shop at the local fruit farm, plus the town’s medieval church, which is now a Heritage Centre, is topped by a striking 18th century cupola, known locally as 'The Pepperpot'.
