  • "The Willows is a lovely spacious property with a pleasant garden on two levels, leading to a small brook."

Whilst there is some road noise, it is shielded by trees and we were not really disturbed by it, as we live near a main road at home. Great location with good access to Stratford upon Avon, Warwick, Leamington Spa and the Cotswolds. Owner cares about guests comfort and enjoyment providing helpful info before arrival, requesting and responding positively to feedback re minor issues needing attention - none of which spoilt our enjoyment of this lovely property.

  • "We have had a fantastic time in the Cotswolds."

The Willows has been a great location. With plenty of space for our two families of 4. It has been very peaceful despite being next to a reasonably busy road. Furnishings were comfortable and to a high standard. David and Lesley have clearly thought about what visitors would need most as reflected in the information and facilities provided. We would most definitely return.

  • "The house was in a good location in relation to the Cotswolds."

It however had not been well maintained over some time as there were many items that needed attention such as many lights not working, dripping or inoperative taps, one shower held up with a shoe lace, internal rubbish bin broken and the outside rubbish bin full to overflowing. The toilet seat in the main en-suite bathroom was broken and the water pressure for all the showers was very poor. The garage was not usable at all as it and many other cupboards in the house were full of the owners' items.

Thanks for your feedback. Inevitably some items wear out or get damaged over time, and we only know about many of these when you tell us. We responded to all your requests while you were there. We have two cupboards with personal items and these are locked, leaving a lot of storage space in other cupboards. The garage is locked and not part of our listing as there is lots of driveway space. • "We contacted the office because the double locking on the front door did not operate and as we were instructed to double lock it, thought it should be reported but were told someeone would look at it after we left on the Friday !"

At the same time we reported that the general waste bin was overflowing with maggots crawling over the top and had obviously not been put out the previous Monday. The recycling was collected the week we were there. It was a horrible site and would have been noticable to the cleaners.Even if it was filled by the previous tenant, surely it should have been left in a good condition for us? Goes without saying that if there is a tenant this week,it's going to be in the same condition. Your reply would be appeciated.

We could only get one programme on the dishwasher and that was above 3 hours. The kitchen table was clear glass and 2 of us banged our legs on it day 1 and had massive bruises. Otherwise, beautiful accommodation, thanks.

  • "We enjoyed our stay at The Willows."

The house had plenty of space with room to spread out for the various different generations. There was lots of car space. The beds were comfy. Handy having things like coffe, tea, sauces, dish washer tablets etc theree to start us off. It had a lovely garden too. We enjoyed visiting Shipston On Soar the next town, good pubs and several shops and several Take away places. Yes we would recommend.

  • "The booking was just for 2 nights and so we weren’t able to make full use of the house, but very happy with what we did use."

One preference would be to be more pro-active on the COVID restrictions, for example we really struggled to book somewhere for dinner because we didn’t get the full details, as great as they were, early enough.

  • "A beautiful holiday home, well maintained and with pretty much all of the kitchen and lounge equipment that you would need for a staycation, we were a party of three generations and all three were comfortable and catered for within in the home."

The village is split by a busy main road but wasn't too much of a challenge to cross to the older part of the village and take a stroll around the houses and church which are all are all pretty and well maintained and quiet roads for an elderly person on a rolator to navigate. Apart from road noise I would highly recommend this property, the owner emails the user manuals (apart from the oven) and useful tips on where to take days out if this is what you want to do during your stay prior to your arrival date, which we found very useful. All in all a very relaxing and comfortable two week break was had

? Because we found the cottage far from the Deep Clean Standard we expected considering we could not access the cottage until after 5 pm I have taken pictures and videos of the dust and the mattress protector in the master bedroom was disgusting , very disappointed with the overall cleanliness,

  • "We spent a lovely week with our friends at The Willows."

It is ideally situated on the edge of Tredington within easy reach of Stratford upon Avon, Bourton on the Water and Warwick. The only thing I would say is that whilst the house is in a Close the busy main road is only one garden away, it was noisy in the garden and we had to keep the bedroom windows shut at night because of the constant noise from the traffic.

The cottage was amazing, absolutely superb and completely exceeded our expectations. It is equipped to perfection and we wanted for nothing. It is without doubt a splendid home from home. The kitchen equipment is fantastic - absolutely everything you could want is provided, even down to excellent cookery books. Extremely comfy beds, a delightful lounge and dining room with the added bonus of the study. The garden is charming. We were lucky with the weather. so we could sit outside with our morning coffee and enjoy the garden. We would return in a heartbeat and were very sad to leave. The location is delightful and is an excellent base for touring the Cotswolds and Stratford upon Avon. The local village is very pretty and we enjoyed long walks around it. Would most definitely recommend and aim to return at the end of the year.

  • "The Willows is a beautifully appointed house with top quality kitchen equipment and crockery."

It felt like a real family home and not just a holiday let. 3 pleasant bathrooms and very comfortable bedrooms with plenty of storage space. Lovely landscaped garden which we didn’t use in December but was nice to look out on. We had an early family Christmas at The Willows and it was almost perfect for our needs. The living room is a great space to relax in and the kitchen is a good working and eating area. The utility room was very useful for extra food and drink storage. The only downside was that the under counter fridge wasn’t big enough for our needs that particular weekend. We wish we’d had time to enjoy some of the many books, games and dvds that were in the study! Hopefully we will return.

The accommodation was above our expectations supplying everything you could need just like "Home from Home". The TV took us a little time to master as there were 5 controls on the side on our arrival but having read through the details sent to us we managed to get to grips with just one control and fab to have SKY. Would definitely stay again if visiting Warwickshire/Gloucestershire.

  • "This is a lovely house with plenty of space."

It is slightly outside the Cotswolds, but it is easy to get to many of the Cotswold villages and also Stratford and Warwick. The only down side we encountered was the noise from the road when in the lovely garden. We had thought about this before booking but, as we were visiting in October, we didn't expect to be using the garden. However the weather was particularly mild and we did enjoy sitting out on the patio. Overall we were very happy with the property and the location gave easy access to several places.

  • "We were welcomed on email by Brian and Lesley Wood before we stayed, and were given names and contact numbers in case of problems."

They included a PDF document which detailed how virtually everything worked in the house, including pictures and diagrams of switches and remote controls. This was a really useful document to have around. Facilities in the house were just as advertised, four lovely bedrooms two with large ensuites and a family bathroom. The garden would be a nice entertaining space in the summer, but it is split by a hedge with the bottom area having a stream which makes it unsuitable for young children without supervision. This is advised in their adverts. The location is ideal for all of the tourist hotspots like Stratford and Bourton. The owners recommended a number of pubs and restaurants. We particularly enjoyed Sunday lunch at the George in Shipston, make sure you are really hungary when you go! The biggest downside of this house? You have to go home at the end of the week. Thoroughly recommend it, give it a go if you can.

  • "The Willows is a fabulous house, extremely comfortable with everything you could wish for."

The owners seem to have thought of everything from SKY Q tv to well appointed study with numerous books and games should the weather turn bad. Plenty of garden furniture as well which mostly went unused as it was ridiculously hot for our week, yet the interior kept reasonably cool which was very welcomed. All furnishings are of a very high standard which is an added bonus in a dog friendly cottage. Great location to explore the upper Cotswolds, would recommend a visit to Bourton on the Water and Upper / Lower Slaughter. We will hopefully return.
