Also Steph’s recommendation for places to eat were really helpful. We hope we can come back in the future to this lovely find!

  • "We had an amazing stay at Little Lugg."

Can’t fault it in anyway whatsoever, everything was excellent, there is a guest book with so much helpful information for your day. Owners have gone above and beyond to ensure you have all you need for your stay. Only thing we weren’t a fan of was the pub down the road (Cross Keys Inn), simply wouldn’t bother there is plenty of pubs in the town (10-15 minute drive) and there is a pub a bit closer called the swan which was amazing. Beautiful location, lovely and quiet but close enough to shops etc. Can’t recommend enough we were really impressed with all aspects. Thank you to Jarrod & Steph for your wonderful holiday home! X

  • "A truly beautiful and immaculate kept place just outside Hereford."

Spotlessley clean and furnished to the highest standards. Everything you need to take a relaxing break. The hot tub is amazing ... a towel rail is the only thing I would suggest although they dried perfectly but draped over the kitchen stools. We visited Hereford (food/shopping/cinema). Symonds Yat (stunning), Ross on Wye, and by far the most stunning ... Ludlow. Recommended by the owner, it did not disappoint. Truly picturesque (castle cafe was welcoming and the scones delicious). A must visit if you have the time. Thank you for sharing Little Lugg with us. Would highly recommend.

Wow, such amazing feedback, we are so grateful for your lovely comments, not only about Little Lugg but also about Herefordshire, our home town which we just love Best wishes Jarrod and Steph Property Owner

  • "This was a very comfortable and immaculately clean lodge and we very much enjoyed using the hot tub."

The following additions would have made the stay even better: Colander or sieve, egg cups, towel rail/hooks/caddy in the shower room off the dressing room and a map showing local walks. It would also have been helpful to know that the nearby pub does not do food.

Hi Micheal, Thanks for your feedback, we are sorry to hear that a colander, sieve and egg cups were not available, they should have been. We will make sure that is checked on the next changeover. Little Lugg accommodates two guests and we made the decision to add an additional dressing room and shower which we think is lovely addition and luxury , the shower room in the main bedroom does have the holder for products for guests. We do offer links in our welcome pack for popular local walks and encourage guests to contact us for any help needed. Best wishes Jarrod and Steph Property Owner

The decor is exactly what we would go for, loved the oak doors and staircase. Downstairs toilet and two upstairs bathrooms with good size showers. The kitchen was spotlessly clean with all the appliances you need, everything felt new. Hot tub was amazing, never felt overlooked at all and was the perfect way to relax. Really can not fault this holiday lodge, can tell owners have worked hard with these

The place is beautiful and exceptionally clean and the little touches made it more special, thank you! We met one of the owners who was lovely and welcomed us and made us feel at home nothing was a problem to ask. We got lost on the way there and Step was quick to help us get back after arriving in town. Hereford town was a lovely place with lovely shops and nice restaurants to eat at. We also costed Ross-on-Wye again absolutely beautiful and a place I’d definitely recommend visiting. I cannot recommend highly enough. It was perfect! The property was incredible. It had everything you’d need and was tastefully decorated throughout. The cupcakes and fresh milk were much appreciated welcome treats. I visited Symonds Yat Rock and saw peregrine falcons. I also made trips to Ross-on-Wye, Puzzlewood, Soudley Ponds, Hereford, Ledbury and Worcester. There were lots of nice places to eat within a short drive. Ponte Vecchio, a little family run Italian in Hereford was so good! I also visited the Kilpeck Inn in Kilpeck and The Baiting House in Upper Sapey. After a day out exploring, to return to the large hot tub, the private patio area, and comfy bed were just what was needed. I wish I could have stayed longer!

:) The place was immaculate and had everything you could need there. The guest information book was super helpful with walk and eatery recommendations as well as instructions for all the amenities!! Which was really handy for the fire and the hot tub - both of which were also awesome. Could not recommend enough, we loved how cosy and relaxing our stay at Little Lug was. The only constructive criticism I could think of is that it would of been nice to have a full length mirror in the dressing room (but this is more likely out of personal vanity and not a necessity) and an option for a later check out would of been nice - to enjoy the cottage a little longer :)

About the location

HEREFORD

Leominster 14 miles.

The cathedral city of Hereford dates back to Saxon times, and with its medieval bridge over the winding River Wye it is the very image of picturesque England. With a mix of buildings from almost every British era, eclectic Hereford is a popular base for those seeking to explore the locale – being ideally placed for accessing the Black and White villages of the region, not to mention the delights of neighbouring Shropshire, Worcestershire and The Cotswolds. Famous as a cider producing town, Hereford is also the home of the Mappa Mundi, the largest and most elaborate pre-15th century map in existence, which resides in the cathedral alongside the famous Chained Library – a collection of over 1500 rare books from as early as the 8th century. Nearby is the half timbered town of Leominster, filled with medieval buildings, often overhanging the street, and also accessible is the natural splendour of Symonds Yat, a rocky outcrop on a 5 mile bend of the River Wye, with spectacular views and the opportunity to spot protected peregrine falcons flying from their nests.
