  • "The 2 houses together, Park Bothy and Park Stabies, were perfect for my birthday celebrations."

The houses are well planned out with everything you need for a few nights stay. Gorgeous decor and so warm and cosy. Perfect location for exploring the Cotswolds, located between Bourton on the Water and Burford, two lovely villages to explore. A great place to eat in with family. We were unable to get a takeaway delivery as local takeaways seem to be pick up only. The local shop/ pub may be less than a mile away as stated in the blurb, but I would think this is as the crow flies, not to get to them. It feels like driving distance rather than walking. The hot tub is lovely to relax in and feels very secluded which is lovely. Would definitely recommend and would definitely come back again

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are very pleased that you all enjoyed your stay for your birthday celebrations and made good use of the hot tub. We hope we can welcome you back again. Best wishes Manor Cottages Property Owner

  • "Really lovely property for a ladies weekend away."

We hired Park Stables and Bothy together, but they are quite separate and would love to return to the Bothy with hot tub as great for 2 people! Need some more bowls and champagne glasses in Stables as all 8 people socialised there, there weren’t 8 of each, but properties are both well equipped, spotless and in a great location for visiting local attractions. Superb!

Thank you for this lovely review. We're delighted that you and your group of friends enjoyed your weekend. Best wishes Manor Cottages Property Owner

  • "We have just returned from a 2 week stay (3 generations of the family and 2 small dogs)."

The cottages are beautifully decorated and of a very high standard. Everything is provided to make your stay as comfortable as possible. We cooked family meals every evening, when we could all join together in Park Stables. There is so much to do in the area and we had some great lunches out - Sunday roast at The Slaughters Country Inn and The Royal Oak, Burford do the most amazing pies. The Hot tub was a bonus at any time, but especially after a day out walking. We had a minor issue with one of the showers, Housekeeping couldn’t have been more helpful and within a few hours this was all sorted. A great stay was enjoyed by all and I’m sure we’ll be back.

Everything we needed was there, lots of things to do in the area then back to relax in the hot tub and chill with our friends. We had a minor problem with toilet and shower in park stables but it was dealt with very quickly and efficiently. Can not recommend this place highly enough. We will definitely return.

  • "Two nicely furnished houses well equipped with everything we needed for a family break."

Plenty of seating and living area as well as comfortable beds. Near to countryside walks and a short drive to Bourton on the Water or Stow on the Wold. These both get very busy later in the day (it was half term) so recommend getting there early. One minor issue is having to go through the drive to access Park Bothy. Plenty to see and do in the area and nice to be able to relax at the house afterwards. Note: 3rd bedroom in Park Stables is off the living room and doesn’t have an en-suite. As the light system is centrally controlled you need to use a torch or leave a light on if you need the loo at night. These are minor issues in an otherwise fabulous house.

Perhaps mid afternoon for weekend stays would be better.

Thank you for your feedback and we're glad that you and your family enjoyed your special celebration at Court Hayes Farm Barns. We will take your suggestion on board regarding the check-in time. • "The property is listed as if it was two properties that could be used as one, not that they were in separate buildings."

Very confusing if you were going as a group. Also you website said no access to the property until 18.00 when in their book it stated 16.00.

Thank you for your feedback with regards to your stay at Court Hayes Farm Barns. I'm sorry if you thought the barns are interconnecting, this isn't the case, as it states on the website, it's two separate barns, but in very close proximity to each other. I will add a note to state it's NOT interconnecting for clarity. With regards to the check-in times, it's 6pm at the moment, but i will arrange for this to be updated and changed in the welcome folder, so sorry for this confusion. Kind regards Manor Cottages. In the Bothy, the bathroom shelf and the toilet roll holder need refixing. The shelf especially needs attention to avoid damage to the sink. In the Stables, the main oven was working but the fan function was not. However, we all really enjoyed our holiday and would not hesitate to come again

Thank you for the feedback, regarding your stay at Court Hayes Farm Barn. It's lovely to hear you enjoyed your stay and I hope you managed to see some of the lovely places locally that make wonderful days out. Loved the fact that there was plenty of seating in the living room (so many places sleep lots but don't provide enough seats for relaxing!) It was spotlessly clean and in a stunning area. We had a couple of things that needed attention and the office and the owner dealt with it really quickly. Can't fault how helpful they were. Would highly recommend the property and the company. • "Plus House is well fitted and comfortable."

Beds were good. We had not appreciated that the let was actually two separate buildings, with hot tub in the smaller one. As it happened, that suited us really well. Location is very nice, a shame there are no views, but you cant ask for everything. Recommend walk down the hill to Wyck Rissington. Farm business next door was really quiet. No ambient light meant clear night skies in the tub! Minus Lounge seating layout is not very practical as the "lounge" area is long and narrow. Lighting is atmospheric, but a bit dim? Broadband is pretty poor - it IS a rural location, but I needed to do some work and it kept cutting out

How wonderful that you were pleasantly surprised by the fact that you actually had two properties to stay in! I'm pleased to hear this suited you well and you were able to enjoy the clear night sky from the hot tub. Your suggestions for improvement have been taken on board. Yes, due to the rural location, broadband is a little patchy but is, on the most part, rather reliable so I'm really sorry that you had these difficulties during your stay. Property Owner

Great location for exploring and the barns were spacious and comfortable. Only feedback from us all - it would be good to improve the recyling and waste management. A food waste caddy in the kitchen with bags and recyling bins with dividers for bottles and any other waste that can be recyled from the general waste would be an improvement. The outside bins were full and the food waste bin - I didn't look in it but the family told me it was not pleasant.

Many thanks for your feedback, we are thrilled to hear you had a lovely stay. We have taken on board your comments regarding the recycling and waste management process and will implement new measures to make it more use friendly. Property Owner

  • "Property very clean and tidy and in general very well equipped."

Very comfortable accommodation with plenty of space for a large group. The location of the property is well situated to visit all the local towns, villages and tourist attractions. The actual position of the property ,adjacent to a working farm/barn area and across the road from a garage / panel beaters does mean you have residual noise at times . Fencing and hedges also mean there is not much of a view from the property The stables are well equipped but the Bothy could do with a freezer,or at least an ice making compartment in the fridge in order to maintain the ice supply for the drinks. Also a coat rack would assist in the Bothy to hang any wet coats etc. Otherwise a very acceptable property in order to discover the Cotswolds

About the location

BOURTON-ON-THE-WATER

Stow-on-the-Wold 4 miles; Moreton-in-Marsh 8 miles; Chipping Norton 13 miles; Cheltenham 15.5 miles.

Located in the Cotswold Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the historic village of Bourton-on-the-Water dates back to Neolithic times with over 100 buildings being Grade II listed or higher. The picturesque high street nestles alongside the River Windrush over which several low stone bridges span, which is why Bourton-on-the-Water is known as the Venice in the Cotswolds. Tradition states that an annual football match is played in the summer, in the River Windrush with the banks lined with spectators, with the aim to score as many goals as possible and get as wet as possible! The village has an eclectic range of visitor attractions, including The Model Village, Cotswold Motor Museum, Birdland Park and Gardens as well as a Dragonfly Maze, monthly farmers’ market as well as many tea rooms, an artisan bakery, antiques and craft markets, traditional sweet shop, cycle hire and its very own perfumery. Nearby, Stow-on-the-Wold, originally an Iron Age Fort, epitomises traditional England. This ancient market town has played host to many fairs since the 12th century and today holds a biannual Gypsy Horse Fair, craft fairs and monthly farmers' market. The vast market square boasts an ancient cross at one end and the village stocks at the other, surrounded by an elegant array of Cotswold stone townhouses, antiques shops, tea rooms, traditional pubs, award-winning restaurants and its very own cricket museum. Also take a visit to the medieval town of Burford for a great day out where you can enjoy a trip to the Cotswold Wildlife Park and Gardens. The Saxon market town of Moreton-in-Marsh and the quintessential English village of Broadway are both within easy reach and make a great day out. The spa town of Cheltenham is, architecturally, the most complete Regency town in England with an incredible range of shops, cinemas, theatres, restaurants and pubs, it is famous for its horse racing festival in March, culminating in the Gold Cup steeplechase. Oxford, the oldest university city in England and sometimes called The City of Dreaming Spires has an abundance of prestigious attractions, including the 38 colleges of the university (half of which date back before 1600), the oldest university teaching room, the Bodleian Library, Ashmolean and Pitt Rivers Museums, and Botanic Gardens. Stratford-upon-Avon, Bath, Worcester and the waterfront city of Gloucester are also all within easy reach.
