  • "The Doll's House was a very pleasant place to stay, it soon felt like home."

    It is nicely furnished and retains a degree of character which definitely contributes to the homely feel. There is no microwave or dishwasher, which to me wasn't important but the lack of cooking dishes and oven glove were more difficult to understand, even in the small kitchen there was plenty of cupboard space to accommodate these things. But this didn't detract from what was for me an very enjoyable stay.

    Thank you for taking the time to provide us with feedback on your stay at The Doll's House. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed your time away and appreciate your comments regarding the dishes and oven gloves. We do not list a microwave or dishwasher on the properties listing. If you ever require any further information about a property, please don't hesitate to contact us and we will be happy to assist you. We hope to welcome you again one day in the future. • "What a lovely cottage!"

    It was very cosy and warm. The owner had kindly left us with all that we needed and a few extras. We had all the facility’s we needed and everything worked fine. We was treated to a view of hot air balloons in the evening times from the cottage window. That was very nice. The owner also turned up and checked if we had settled in okay. All in all, it was very nice and we felt very welcome.

About the location

NORTHLEACH

Bourton on the water 5.5 miles; Stow-on-the-wold 9.1 miles;

Northleach is just off the Roman road, the Fosse Way (A429) 8 miles north-east of Cirencester and 10 miles south-west of Stow-on-the-Wold, and about 7 miles from Burford - making it an excellent place to travel from if you're looking to visit these popular and attractive places. Northleach was at one time an important market town, celebrated throughout Europe as a major centre for the Cotswold wool trade! The fifteenth-century church of St Peter and St Paul, paid for by the wealthy wool merchants, was built with stone dug from the quarry in the town itself and what is now the Market Square. More recently the village has been used in a number of recent films, including the Casual Vacancy of 2015.
