  • "Jess, the owner is very kind and most helpful."

Her attention to detail in the house is finely done and upscale. The house is nicely situated for lovely walks with only 1/2 mile distance to Stow-on-the-Wold.

  • "Great location of the cottage."

About 15 minutes walk into stow centre. The cottage had all the amenities required for our stay. We had good information provided by the owners who were very helpful. We stayed over Christmas so had snow and owners were good to offer help if needed to clear the drive ready for our departure. Nick

  • "Great cottage, nice walks, lovely town centre in Stowe."

    JasonAug 2020

  • "We stayed in Stonewell for the full week and the weather wasn’t great, particularly at the beginning."

The meant that we spent a lot of time in the cottage. Four adults and a toddler. We found it to be very spacious, comfortable and really well equipped. Nearly forgot to add we had 2 dogs also and not once did we feel cramped. The nearby traffic free tarmac lane is a real plus for dog owners. We wouldn’t hesitate to return in the future.

  • "We stayed here for the Christmas week and couldn't have been happier."

Stonewell has a peaceful outlook over the hills, yet is an easy 10 min walk to Stow on the Wold - excellent for those trips to the pub or a nose around the shops. The farm cat kept us entertained when we sat around the log fire in the evenings. The cottage is a good size with a spacious lounge and a very well-equipped kitchen/dining. The washer/dryer is a bonus for those travelling. We'd happily stay here again.

  • "Stonewell is a fabulous property with a 'well' in the lounge which is a fantastic feature."

There is everything you need to enable a perfect stay in the country. Fantastic location - Stow is just a short walk away to some lovely pubs and restaurants, most are dog friendly and welcoming.

  • "A lovely well laid out bungalow set in such peaceful countryside yet just a short stroll to the town of Stow on the Wold."

A real escape from the hustle and bustle of town life. It is well placed for visits to many other Cotswold destinations and places of interest. The choice is yours - relax and sit and admire the view or take a short drive to enjoy what the area has to offer.

  • "A well-equipped cottage in a peaceful setting, centrally located for exploring the Cotswolds."

The patio area with table and chairs has a lovely view. Maps are provided for walks and there is an excellent folder with information on places to visit. We would love to stay again next year.

  • "What a wonderful place."

Fantastic view, everything thought of. Very central for days out. Would love to go back.

  • "Delightful, extremely well-equipped cottage in a lovely quiet rural setting with wonderful views."

Short, attractive tree lined walk into Stow to buy groceries or to eat. Plenty of choice for other walks, maps of which are hanging on the coat pegs in the cottage. We enjoyed the one to the pretty village of Broadwell where we had Sunday lunch in The Fox Inn, which overlooks the large green. popular place to eat so advise booking a table, dogs welcome. Sad to leave, but we have already booked another stay for July.

    CarolineMay 2019

  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Stonewell."

The cottage is in a stunning location yet within a short off-road walk from Stow, ideal for us having two disabled daughters and a dog. There are plentiful dog-walking options from the cottage as well. The cottage is spacious, very comfortable and well-equipped and proved a very good base from which to visit a host of places from Oxford and Blenheim to Broadway and Chipping Camden. We would love to come again.

  • "This a delightful property in a stunning part of the world."

It has everything that you need in the cottage, even a well sunk into the lounge floor. We will be back again.

  • "We had a lovely break in the Cotswolds staying at Stonewell earlier this month."

The cottage had all we needed and was so easy to find. It's the first time I've not got lost on the way to a holiday cottage! If you're visiting out of season, I recommend Sudeley Castle as they are open until the end of the year unlike National Trust places. It was an excellent day out.

  • "Maugersbury is a lovely place to be and Stonewell is an excellent cottage to enjoy the location."

I never tire of the view across the valley or the walks from the door. The restaurants, cafes and shops of Stow are just a 15 minute walk away along a lovely traffic free lane.

  • "Stonewell is a beautiful, spacious and extremely well-equipped holiday cottage."

It is really well located, with beautiful views across open countryside, but only a short walk from Stow on the Wold. Everything you could need for a holiday stay had been considered. We had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend Stonewell to others looking for a place to explore the Cotswolds from. We hope to return ourselves.

  • "Spotless accommodation right through and all the essentials (tea, coffee, biscuits and milk in the fridge too)."

This is one of the best self-catering places we have ever been to. Location is a 10 minute walk from Stow or a few minutes in the car.

  • "We had a great time staying in Stonewell."

The location was ideal for us with many great walks in the area including the short walk into Stow with its many excellent pubs and restaurants. The property was well equipped, great local information available and as a family of 4 having 2 bathrooms was ideal. The Bell in Stow served excellent food and the staff there were very friendly - highly recommended. We all had a great week and hope to return again in the future.

  • "The perfect location for our family holiday - close to the town and a great base for exploring the greater Cotswolds region."

Stonewell cottage is a lovely two bedroom cottage which is finished to a high standard and is very well equipped. It is set in its own grounds which gives privacy and has its own outside patio area for BBQ's etc. It was cleaned to a very high standard for our arrival. A great holiday location.

  • "We very much enjoyed our stay at Stonewell."

We enjoyed the tranquil setting with the added bonus of horses close by. The barn was of a high standard and had some interesting features particularly the illuminated well in the lounge. We liked the decor and pictures and the en suite wet room was a bonus. Our dog enjoyed the local walks. I would highly recommend a stay here.
