  • "It should be mentioned in the property description that the stairs are steep, tight and awkward."

No property information and user manuals for the installed appliances was provided. There was no information for dealing with waste/ refuse/recycling etc. Blinds are required for the windows in both bathrooms

Thank you for your feedback. I’m sorry we’re normally known for our exceptional attention to detail, and we regret that we missed the mark. Property Owner

  • "The cottage was really comfortable."

Great beds . We all slept very well. The kitchen was well stocked. Super, comfortable living room. We were pleasantly surprised as the cottage was more spacious than we were expecting. The only drawback was the driveway is very narrow. There was no recycling bag for the cardboard boxes. Having said this we would definitely stay here again if we were staying in area.

Thank you for your lovely feedback. We are glad you enjoyed your stay and hope to welcome you back soon. Property Owner

  • "The cottage exceeded our expectations - it was roomy, clean and the garden was beautiful."

The surrounding area is lovely and quiet and the village pub makes the best espresso martini! Richard, the house keeper, also called us on arrival to check that everything was okay. We had a lovely and comfortable stay and I would recommend this cottage to all of my friends and family.

  • "We had a great family vacation in this lovely cottage."

The kitchen is great and spacious, rooms are really comfortable and 2 bathrooms is always a plus! The village is lovely and quiet, local restaurant is only 2 minutes walk from the cottage and the whole countryside is gorgeous. Would definitely recommend

  • "Despite the awful weather we had a lovely mid-week break."

The house was clean and cosy with a well-stocked kitchen. We had an excellent pub within walking distance. A short drive away were lots of great activities for the children (rock climbing, forest school, pottery painting). Would highly recommend as it’s a great base to explore the Cotswolds.

Having a stove fire really made it! Would recommend

  • "What a lovely house, in a beautiful town."

Has all the modern amenities, with all the charm of an old house. The host had a Christmas tree and other decorations set up in the house - we really appreciated that effort. Everything was perfect. Wifi is slow, and cell phones are spotty, but that's something out of the owner's control, and it was nice to be a little out of touch with things. I would highly recommend this cottage, and hope to return some time.,Andrew

  • "Beautiful Cottage in the Cotswolds."

The owners were very accommodating with timings and kindly let us stay after the checkout time as there was not another booking, which made a great impression. The lovely kitchen diner was a great room for cooking and chatting in and the large comfy sofas in the front room allowed everyone to have a nice seat infront of the fire. Aga kept the house warm, and heating was on when we arrived. Richard kindly left some milk and bottle of wine which was enjoyed. Great pub across the road with excellent food and garden. Thanks for a great stay, will definitely come again.

  • "We had a really enjoyable time at the cottage."

Loved all the features, Aga, wood burner etc . It was very clean and perfect for a break. The kitchen was well equipped, but a little more cutlery would of been good, not that it was a problem. The garden was well maintained and the local pub was really good. The Shower was excellent, very powerful and loved the roll top bath.

  • "My family and I just wanted to say a huge thank you for a wonderful weekend at Winterberry Cottage for the weekend just gone."

We all felt it was home from home and none of us wanted to leave! It's a truly gorgeous cottage you have and so very well fitted out. It had absolutely everything we needed and more. We celebrated my mum's 65th birthday and it was great to have some quality family time in such a wonderful location. The bottle of red wine and chocolates was a lovely touch and very much appreciated. We all look forward to returning at some point soon. It's a very special place you have there! - Karen & family

Nestled in the lovely village of Barnsley is this wonderful Cotswold stone property, Winterberry Cottage, that is ideal for relaxing with friends and family and as a base for exploring the beautiful Cotswolds.

Upon arriving at the property, you will be delighted to find two off-road parking spaces on the gravel driveway.

A large hallway provides space for storing coats and muddy boots, which leads onto the well-presented and welcoming sitting room with lovely exposed wooden beams and oak flooring, containing inviting seating space that you and your guests can sink into after a long day of exploring, whilst watching a film on the Smart TV or reading a compelling novel from the books on offer, whilst the woodburning stove warms the whole room.

Overlooking the garden and the fields beyond you will find the kitchen/diner that comes fully-equipped with all the amenities you require to rustle up a heart-warming evening meal as you all gather around the large dining table to enjoy your meal, before tidying up with help from the handy dishwasher, and engaging in a competitive game of darts.

Take the evening outside when the weather allows, through the patio doors in the kitchen/diner, to the beautiful enclosed garden that has stunning views of the farmland beyond and offers welcoming seating and a gas barbecue in the patio area and a lawn area beyond, with ample storage space in the shed which is perfect for avid cyclists.

When the night draws to a close, head up the wooden staircase to the first-floor where you have a choice of two beautiful king-size rooms, one boasting an en-suite shower room, and a twin room, all with ample storage space for your belongings.
