  • "We’ve stayed in a lot of your cottages but this is easily the most beautiful, tasteful, and well-planned."

  • "Wow! We loved our stay at Beau Cottage."

Plenty of room for 4 adults, comfy beds and settees, quality furnishings, well equipped kitchen with good storage, full size toiletries that smell great and cosy dressing gowns. Debbi and Richard made us feel welcome before we arrived with their emails and information. The welcome hamper goodies were delicious and what a treat - opening the fridge door and finding a cream tea in it! Enjoyed watching the birds, including nuthatches and a woodpecker, on the feeders outside the kitchen window. The location is good. Lovely views from all the windows and the gate into the forest is only a few metres away for walks. Bewdley is an attractive, interesting small town and the cottage is a good base for visiting other small towns and places of interest.

Deers could be seen from cottage, it was lovely watching the numerous birds at the feeders. The welcome basket is the best ever experienced, very much appreciated. Pubs and walks all close by. Debbie and Richard were very welcoming, we definitely highly recommend this beautiful cottage and look forward to returning to explore further.

  • "Beau cottage is on the edge of the Wyre Forest."

It is set in a pretty garden with its own private patio and large driveway. The friendly and helpful owners live next door. The cottage is well equipped with everything you need. The ground floor bedroom has a comfortable large bed and an excellent shower in the en suite bathroom. The towels are soft and bed linen of good quality. The lounge has 2 comfortable sofas. The tv and WiFi reception are very good. The cottage has been furnished to a high standard and is well maintained throughout. Despite the cold weather during our stay, we kept warm with efficient heating. There is plenty of hot water. We loved watching the birds and deer from the kitchen window. The owners provide lovely bathroom toiletries, hand wash, hand lotion and body lotion, as well as shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. The kitchen has hand wash, washing liquid, dishwasher tablets, washing machine tablets, tea towels, surface cleaner, pan scrubber and cloth, as well as tea bags, coffee, and sugar. A delicious welcome pack provided includes milk, bread, butter and eggs. All thoroughly enjoyed. The information pack is helpful and gives details of places to shop, eat, walk etc. Lots of leaflets on places to visit. The owners might like to consider putting a chair or stool in the ground floor bedroom to put clothes on, even though there is not a huge amount of space to do this, we used a kitchen chair for this purpose. There were no instructions as to where the food waste bin bag could be put before leaving, this we left tied up in the bin near the door. And finally no instructions for leaving the cottage key, we found the key safe impossible to open unfortunately. Regardless of these minor issues, we really enjoyed our stay at Beau Cottage and would recommend it to anyone wanting a comfortable holiday cottage with forest walks on the doorstep.

This cottage is beautiful and in a peaceful glorious setting! We had the most amazing time. The welcome pack was the best we've ever seen...including tasty scones, wine, fresh apple juice, s/s milk, crisps, chunky cookies!! The owners live next door and assisted us with any queries, they were very helpful and friendly. The garden is huge and over looks fields...would be lovely in the summer time. Having said that, the cottage is surrounded by the most amazing trees which look absolutely spectacular at this time of year (Autumn). We spotted deer from the kitchen and living room window, which was fabulous. We will definitely return to this cottage. Ps no need to take w/up liquid, clothes washing tabs, d/w tabs, throws, hand wash, shower gel, shampoo/conditioner, dog bowls, dog blankets or hairdryer...these were all provided. The only thing we couldn't find was a sink drainer (as we don't usually put glasses in the dishwasher). Thank you for an amazing relaxing break...Bev, Andy, Pam, Steve, (Rosie & Willow) :)

Thank you so much for your lovely comments, we are so glad you enjoyed your stay. We don’t provide a drainer as we are happy for guests to put glasses in the dishwasher, in fact we prefer it if as many things as possible are washed this way for hygiene reasons, hence the generous supply of dishwasher tablets! Early communication from Debbi and Richard was excellent, and the welcome pack was amazing, from a generous supply of the basics (bread, milk, butter etc.) to some customised treats, it truly added a WOW factor! The cottage is stunning, and Debbi and Richard have thought of absolutely everything to ensure all needs are met and comfort is the key word (lots of cosy throws, pillows, lovely beds and comfy couches). The patio is gated for privacy, but overlooking a beautiful section of the garden, and a real sun trap on an afternoon - much time spent there enjoying a quiet read and a cuppa :) There's a gate entrance to Wyre Forest a couple of minutes walk up the private road the cottage is on, and some great local farm shops in easy walk/drive distance. The dogs, Belle and Ruby, were an absolute joy, really enjoyed getting to know them. We will be booking up next year, and I suspect for many years following, Beau Cottage is by far the best holiday cottage we've ever stayed in.

The home was well presented and our every need was catered for. Our only small issue was that WE found the two single beds uncomfortable. They may benefit from having a ‘topper’ added to improve them? Overall a very enjoyable stay in a welcoming property in a beautiful setting close to some lovely attractions . Thank you to the owners for their hospitality !

Thank you for your feedback, we have a topper when the zip link beds are made up as a king size and will look to get a couple for use when made up as twins. My greater concern is the lower mark for cleanliness as this is something we take great pride in and we work very hard to maintain our “perfect” score! It would be hugely helpful if you could expand on this by email to us directly preferably, so that we can address the issues to ensure our standards are maintained. I only hope this did not detract from your holiday. Thank you so much for responding directly regarding the above. Lovely location, very well appointed cottage. Would suggest avoiding the local pub, ‘the running horse’, food and service not particularly great.

We are so sorry that the noise from the roofers disturbed you, we did discuss this with you at time and explained they needed to start early because of the extreme heat. We did ask them not to work near the cottage until later in the morning and did ask you to let us know if there were any problems. As we hadn’t heard anything from you, we assumed all was well. Had you mentioned this at the time, we may have been able to do something about it. Sadly the standards at the local pub are beyond our control, and we did suggest a number of alternatives!! The roofing work is now complete, so should not cause further problems we are just sorry that it detracted from your stay as we do our best to ensure that all our guests have the best possible experience while staying here.
