    They were always available if we needed anything. Stone House was spotless and very comfortable. The central heating worked really well and logs were available for the wood burner at a very reasonable price.

This stunning, black and white, half timbered cottage is attached to the owners’ farmhouse in the pretty village of Caynham, just three miles from Ludlow, in beautiful south Shropshire countryside.

The intimate village of Caynham boasts a Bronze and Iron Age earthworks, Caynham Camp, which enjoys wonderful views in all directions.

The village offers visitors many lovely walks and cycle routes weaving through this breathtaking region, with the Shropshire Way running close by.

Just three miles away is medieval Ludlow, with its magnificent castle, individual shops and tea rooms and award-winning restaurants.

This historic, picturesque village lies in the heart of the beautiful South Shropshire countryside and is set amidst renowned scenic walking and cycling country. The village's outstanding landmark is Caynham Camp, a huge Bronze Age/Iron Age earthwork which covers a site of eight acres at the summit, from which wonderful views can be enjoyed. Only 3 miles away is Ludlow, whose medieval street pattern remains almost intact, and provides a fascinating backdrop for the town's regular street markets, held in the shadow of the castle. Ludlow is renowned for its shopping, and has several Michelin-starred restaurants, as well as numerous tea-shops, pubs and inns. Below the 900 year old castle, the Linney Riverside Park offers boats for hire, a putting green and children's play area.
