The views from the conservatory were spectacular. The only difficulty was in contacting the host. We had some strange, loud noises every time the toilet flushed and we weren't sure I'd something was drastically wrong. It took the host several days to get back to us. But when they did, they were thorough in answering our questions. Overall it was a very pleasant experience.

Hi there thanks for your feed back, as I explained to you I don't have email on my phone, I'm a bit old school. However for everyone's peace of mind my phone number is in the info book, cant miss it, inside cover, also on the emergency info at front and back door. I hope you enjoyed your visit to the area Tina Property Owner

We particularly appreciated the attention to detail with clear labels for keys and on cupboards. There was a wide range of games and toys for the whole family to enjoy. The outbuildings containing the games room and BBQ were an added bonus for the property and the garden was spacious and not overlooked. The Swedish style hot tub was challenging and we personally would have enjoyed bubbles, but this was only one small letdown for us in an attractive and comfortable place to stay where we really appreciated the outside space.

No chemicals for the hot tub after a day of usage the water stunk so needed to be changed each day, not very environmentally friendly. Noisey doors due to the ball type catches and rattly glass whilst shutting waking the kids up.

Thanks for your feed back. didn't realise the loo was so noisy will check it out and the ball catch doors, we inherited those and thought a bit weird will try a bit of oil. The hot tub is not designed for chemicals and there are many of this design on the market and in use. we chose this type for simplicity. regards Tina Property Owner

The large and open communal area allows everyone to spend time together without separating into smaller groups. The outside area was lovely and we made good use of the hot tub, day and night! (once we read in the info where to find the light switches in the garden!). The kitchen was well equipped with many things not listed in the inventory (eg slow cooker etc). We would have no hesistation in going again for a similar occasion. :-)

The bungalow is very spacious and comfortable and it's well supplied in terms of kitchen utensils, pots, pans etc, (even dishwasher tablets & poo bags) with all the cupboards labelled up to help find things. Plenty of wood supplies for the hot tub, barbecue and fireplace, plus towels for both indoor and outdoor use. Clear instructions for everything too. The garden is huge with a summer house, barbecue hut and hot tub to enjoy and it's secure for pets. It's also accessible for anyone with mobility issues. We walked from the bungalow directly up onto the common land behind and it's evident that you can walk for miles from there. We visited Ludlow which was lovely and lots to see, including the castle. We have already booked to come back with friends next year. Highly recommended.

  • "Even better than we expected."

Garden was bigger than the photos suggested and there are lots of different seating areas so you can follow the sun or seek shade. We have a little dog and felt safe as it's totally enclosed (if still unsure there is a cordoned-off dog-run complete with large cage). The owner is super-organised so really easy to find things and we appreciated the sweets and cake waiting for us. Like everyone else, we loved the BBQ hut and the hot tub was set up for us on the first day (though had trouble lighting it ourselves). Even though a lot of soft furnishings had to be removed for Covid, the house is still very welcoming and we felt at home as soon as we walked through the door. There is a fab pub 2 mins away in the car - The Crown at Hopton which served a really special Sunday lunch (some of us walked it but it's a bit hair-raising as some fast drivers around). If you're planning to stock up in Ludlow before you arrive, get there early as all the butchers had sold out when we tried on the Saturday afternoon! We loved Wren's Cottage - age range 16 to 62 plus one very giddy pup. Also, thanks to the helpful lady at Sykes who immediately rectified a mistake I made when booking.

Bbq hut & hot tub were our faves - hot tub does take a while to heat up but is worth the wait! There’s plenty to do with in the cottage. We took a trip to Ludlow on Saturday for a stroll around the shops, market & castle which was lovely. Made use of some of the pubs which were also dog friendly. Plenty of room to spread out in the property and find a quiet corner if needed....Fantastic hot tub that we managed to get hot enough to use at 8 o'clock on a freezing January night! Was lovely sitting under the stars with the ground around us frosting and the tub steaming! The only thing to mention here is that it is a woodfired hot tub that you need to light a few hours before you want to use it, which means unless you get there early enough on day one, you won't be able to use it on your first day( which for us who were only there for a 2 night weekend break was a disappointment). Don't get me wrong, it is a great hot tub and we really enjoyed the wood burner aspect of it - especially the man v weather challenge of getting it hot....I think it just needs mentioning so you know before you go and can plan accordingly! We felt very welcome here and would definitely book again.
