We loved it so much we have booked to stay again soon! Attention to detail and personal touches made this cottage a dream cottage. When you arrive there is a pint of milk and brew kit already there and small important things like S&P, cooking oil, cleaning products and a dishwasher. There is a lovely welcome gift and the owners have kindly provided dressing gowns to make your stay really comfortable. There are games, dvds and books to keep everyone entertained and the hot tub is brilliant! The owners have though of everything and are so helpful. I cannot recommend this place enough.

The hot tub was an added bonus which was used each day especially by grandchildren. Would highly recommend this property .

The little extra touches were most welcome and as owners they thought of everything. The hot tub was a lovely addition; great way to wind down after a busy day out and about. The location is great; lots of lovely places to visit locally and we used it as a base to go farther afield too. The cottage was well equipped with everything a family needs for a short stay. Our children loved having a TV in their room, a nice treat that they don’t have at home. Overall, Acorn Cottage is a lovely home from home which we would definitely recommend to others and wouldn’t hesitate booking again.

It is spotlessly clean and has everything you could want for a break away. The attention to detail is amazing, it’s a credit to Karen and Peter who are the owners… The outside seating area and hot tub was a real added bonus. A peaceful place to sit and just enjoy the sounds of the bird song while enjoying an early morning cuppa, or evening drink. We always worry when a cottage is so near to the owners home, but we didn’t need to as they give you totally privacy but are on hand should you need them. We would 100% recommended this beautiful cottage.you won’t be disappointed.

The cottage has all the little extras including towels, bath robes, hand wash, toilet rolls, body wash as well as all the necessities in the kitchen including all condiments as well as tea, coffee and a small bottle of milk. There is all the information you need to ensure you can work all appliances in the cottage as well as information leaflets about the local area. We visited West Midlands Safari Park and Drayton Manor both are excellent for all ages. We also visited the local pub The Salwey Arms which serve a delicious roast dinner. The hot tub was amazing and stayed at temperature. It gets tested daily which is fab. The cottage as well as the surrounding area is really well kept. On our last day Pete & Karen took the boys up to see the farm animals and the tractors which was just the perfect was to end our weekend away! • "Unfortunately we had some car trouble during our stay and the owners of the cottage went above and beyond in order to help us with getting our car back on the road and facilitate our stay by helping us with some of the logistics."

Lovely people, lovely place. Would go again!

  • "This cottage is excellent, in a very convenient location, easy to find and in beautiful surroundings."

The cottage itself was very clean and well equipped. The owners are lovely people, very friendly and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub even in the middle of November! We found the extras eg: the bath robes, chocolates, bottle of local cider and the very delicious homemade victoria sponge were extremely thoughtful and made us feel so welcome. It is a place we would certainly recommend and will be using again ourselves in the future.thank you so much for a wonderful week. Chris and Mac XX

  • "Everything from the moment we arrived was perfect."

Perfect hosts and a new adventure for them. Every small detail was appreciated from the generous welcome pack to the toiletries. We wanted for nothing and felt cosy and at home from the first day. Karen and Peter were very friendly but also left you to be private. This is a gem of a cottage and hope to return in the summer months.

The accommodation was outstanding and the added bonus of the hot tub made our stay extremely relaxing. The owners were very welcoming and the wine the milk crisps and home made apple cake was a nice gesture on our arrival. Would highly recommend this cottage.
