We were met by Sue when we arrived and she was lovely. We had a week of days out but most time was spent in the cottage. The beds were the comfiest we have ever slept in and the furnishings were in great taste to the owners who made them.We chilled and enjoyed every minute and were depressed when having to leave.Met Dave to give back key at end. What a lovely genuine guy.Sues dog portraits are also out of this world. She has a real talent.A1. Could not fault.

So glad you enjoyed your country cottage stay. Guests always find the super kingsized bed very comfy, there's also good views from the window of the sheep and lambs in spring. We keep the cottage uncluttered so any dogs can move around more easily. It has quality furniture, fixtures and fittings, has everything we needed, it's warm and very comfortable especially the Superking bed downstairs! The owners next door are lovely and very helpful and our 3 dogs were made to feel very welcome and they all had a great time. The peace and quiet there is amazing and the views out to the sheep in the adjoining fields with all the trees and hills are gorgeous. We will definitely return to Daisy Cottage!

Thank you for your review, its nice to have guests appreciate the quality of the furniture. I must admit the downstairs supering bed always gives a good night sleep, also helped by the peace and quiet of our location. The pups certainly seemed to have a good time. I hope you visit again. Lovely views to wake up to and so peaceful and quiet all of which we definitely needed - wanted to stay longer but would definitely return in the future. Thank you.

Our pleasure Alison, I had never thought of the cottage in those terms, but your observations are 100% correct as we do care for and love the cottage as we want it to be perfect for our guests. We hope the quality shines through and the efforts we make during change over are well received. • "Lovely, bright, and deceptively spacious cottage."

We really enjoyed our stay, so ‘thank you’. The directions to find Daisy Cottage could be better because Hanley William barely appears on Google maps. You could update this for the information that Sykes Cottages sends out to tenants to make it easier to find: 1. From the B4204, take New Road (opposite the Fox Inn). 2. Go past the church (on your right). 3. When you get to a solitary red brick house (North Lodge), turn left down the farm track. 4. Go through 2 gates (these may be closed, so open and close them behind you) and the house is on your left side. To Sykes Cottages - you can publish this: Lovely, bright, and spacious cottage. We like a big kitchen for food preparation and this fits the bill. You can sit out for lunch watching the sheep and the birds and there’s loads of stuff to do in the surrounding area. The Coggans (the owners) are lovely and always available if you need them. Harvington Hall is a ‘must see’ for lovers of Elizabethan history and ‘The Baiting House’ has good quality food for a special occasion (not cheap but good quality).

Your welcome Marco, I agree the Kitchen is lovely and spacious and thanks for feedback on places to visit and places to eat out, always provides a useful insight for other guests. Appreciate the comments on the directions, gone one step further and registered Daisy with Google so once verified the cottage will appear on Google maps so guests can use this as the destination location. The peace and tranquility is always so welcoming especially to those who lead such a hectic life these days Jean. It's always reassuring for us when the pups have a great time here too, the 3.5 acre meadow they enjoyed playing in during their stay can be enjoyed by guests as we don't expect to have it grazed until late autumn - so a wonderful playground for dogs to get their daily exercise. Hope you had a chance to see the red kite in the field next door during your stay and I know 'M' was particularly taken by the abundance of Swallows nesting here, hope the photos came out well and something to remind you both of your holiday with us. The cottage was well equipped and the sofas and bed were very comfortable. The welcome basket was a nice touch , plus the milk in the fridge. Loved sitting in the peaceful garden, listening to the sheep grazing. Our dog loved them and he got on well with Sue and Dave's dog(Theo). Nothing was too much trouble if we had to ask about anything or need anything. The only downside for us is that there weren't any decent walks from the property, which Sykes say there is.. Also we found on some walks that Stiles were either shut off or we had no way of getting Ice through them, yes he is a big dog but even Sue said she had trouble with Theo getting through them as well. All said and done we had a lovely stay and the weather was better than originally forecast. Would definitely recommend Daisy cottage. Thank you to Sue and Dave for letting us stay.

You're very welcome Cath, so pleased that Ice made a new friend in Theo and you found everything at the cottage welcoming and comfortable. Sorry to hear you were unable to find a suitable walk, I guess the directions I gave may have been a little vague for the Hanley Dingle walk which is one of my favourites when taking Theo out - just gates too which I've never found locked. It was exceptional! The location is idyllic, surrounded by fields and woods. No interaction with another soul apart from the hosts, Sue and family who were very attentive when needed. Your welcomed with a lovely food parcel.....the homemade apple juice is delicious. The layout of the cottage is well thought out, providing easy navigation around the property for the likes of my mother who has mobility problems. The downstairs bedroom and bathroom was just the ticket. All around the cottage are exceptional paintings of pets painted by the host, Sue, who will also paint a portrait of your own if wanted. It's an ideal base for nearby attractions. I will return when I get the chance and highly recommend it to others. Thanks again Sue and family for providing such a tranquil place to stay..... Jane and Pat

Hi Jane, we're so pleased that your first experience of a cottage holiday has been so memorable and that it was with us at Daisy Cottage. The layout works really well as a holiday cottage, we do recommend that prospective guests who may have a member of their party with mobility issues just double check with Sykes the access as we do have the 9 steps leading down to the property, but once inside the ground floor layout is great with the en suite bathroom and bedroom on the level. The apple juice is going down really well this year, all made on side from a single variety of apple from the orchard, so fragrant and sweet I love it too. The portraits are something relatively new, Sue experimented with pastels last year and took to them like a duck to water, her background is as a watercolour artist. For any guests wanting to commission a portrait of their pet, the picture can usually be completed during your stay, to date we've had a number of commissions as birthday presents taken. Feel free to take a peek at some of her portraits at suecoggon.co.uk. As always we very much look forward to our guests returning to stay with us at Daisy Cottage and very much hope you're able to make a return trip. We also appreciate the feedback as it's very informative for visitors to Sykes, also reassuring to know we're providing the type of holiday our guests want, expect and deserve. Property Owner

The owners, who live in the adjacent property, are very friendly, and on hand to help you with places to explore and answer any questions you may have about the cottage, whilst at the same time giving you complete privacy. Appreciate the feedback to your stay at Daisy Sarah, and pleased you all enjoyed your stay and the pups settled in well. I have to confess the juice is good, 100% pure apple juice from just 2 of our trees, cold pressed and pasteurised on site, so refreshing and sweet. Only thing to comment on was it wound have been nice to have a shower curtain in downstairs bathroom and a non static shower head in upstairs bathroom. Otherwise a perfect place to stay.

So pleased you enjoyed your stay with us Liz, and we also appreciate the feedback. With regards the shower curtain we originally took the view to have a hand held shower head in the bath downstairs as we had the main enclosed shower upstairs, as such we didn't plan for a shower curtain on the bath, Great to get the discussion going though and we will seek other guest feedback. Same applies to the static shower head, if feedback suggests we go with a different configuration of shower, then we will implement on our next refurbishment. Property Owner

Wonderfully comfortable beds and lovely ensuite bathrooms. The cottage was very warm and we found we did not need the heating on all the time. The Washing machine was very much appreciated as the weather was not kind and clothes did need washing! Our hosts Susan and David were very friendly and provided us with a clothes airer when we asked. The EV charging point was a bonus and David very kindly allowed us to charge our car. Beautiful countryside to explore too. We all want to come back at a different time of year to be able to enjoy the lovely garden and views.

So pleased you had enjoyed your New Years break with us Sarita and would be great to see you all again. Spring time we have the orchard in full blossom and the new born lambs, summer the meadow is in full bloom, autumn, the colours on the trees are amazing. It was so peaceful and all you could hear was the wildlife. The cottage itself is lovely and really comfortable, with Sue's pretty watercolours adorning the walls. We had 3 dogs with us but the cottage was really practical to clean up after the muddy dogs came bowling in! Thank you to Sue and Dave for letting us use the horse paddock to run the dogs, we appreciated that a lot! We highly recommend this warm, comfortable, pretty cottage. We will be back next year.

So pleased you found us Rona ;-) and the cottage lived up to expectations. • "We are a couple, David & Marion Constable from Norwich, aged 67 and 73 respectively."

We have stayed in many cottages over the years (four or five each year). This ranks as one of the best. We walked in, Marion looked around, chose the upstairs bedroom and pronounced immediately that she would "come here again". That in itself was a first! True it is very rural, which we quite like, and it is not a wizzy, modern, contemporary, up-the-latest-fashion-property (which doesn't bother us anyway) BUT it is EXTREMELY COMFORTABLE AND WELL EQUIPPED. Everything you need is there, is in good working condition ... oh, and did I mention the comfort? The beds are wonderful. Bearing in mind Marion has a spinal issue, she slept really well and had no aching from her spinal stenosis. The sofas are also comfortable (not sagging like so many do). It is just as well I sat on the shorter of the two in the evenings or else I would have been asleep all night! Sue and Dave are perfect hosts. I only had to ask about ramping up the hot water earlier in the day for Marion's bath (we are early risers) and Dave was in there immediately re-programming it for us. The welcome pack was lovely and added a nice finishing touch to an already very good property. We had no issues with a low slung car that some have previously mentioned. I simply put side up on the rise in the middle of the track, and hey presto! No problem! We did not find opening and closing two gates irksome either - meant we got to say hello to the young bullocks. Their horse is friendly and the sheep seem relatively used to dogs (albeit on leads obviously) and their daughter has a lovely young Dalmatian pup. The surroundings are lovely. Birdsong in abundance and the walking, once you find the paths are quite good. I crossed the flower meadow, through the two gates at the top end to pass back up to the lane parallel to the track that leads to the house, crossed the lane onto a long drive which in turn leads to some good walking. The area around is lovely and there is good access to a variety of towns both large and small. Worcester, Tenbury Wells, Ludlow etc. all worth a visit. We do not travel far to visit places, but we have previously been to Shrewsbury, Church Stretton, Hereford and they again are, in our view, worth visiting. All in all a thoroughly enjoyable and like so many before us, we shall be back!

Thanks so much for your feedback and tips David, we are so pleased to see Daisy ranking highly for those who, like yourselves visit several cottages per year, especially when this is only our 3rd season (if you can call the last 2 years true holiday seasons). Hope to see you in 2022, welcome any suggestions which will get facilities to 100% next visit :-) Property Owner

One of the nicest holiday homes we have ever stayed in. We have a teenage daughter who had the entire upstairs (east wing) to herself which worked so well. Really Dog friendly.....we went in October so Dog got a little bit muddy on his walks but having a utility room to dry/ clean him off which was so handy. The entire layout of the place is so well thought out and lovely and clean....the owners are in an adjoining property which might put some holiday makers off but we didn't see them once, they are very discreet and actually knowing they was on site was a massive plus rather then a negative. It's far far away from any main roads so no traffic noise, absolute bliss! - Only small draw back was the 3 gates which needed to be opened when you enter and leave the property but the compromise if well worth it for the peace and quiet of the place. Will 100% return.......

Our two golden retrievers loved their top field to run around in, the field has a stock fence so they can't get at the sheep or horses in the neighbouring feilds. We did lots of walking from the accommodation but would warn dog owners that the stiles in the area are not that user friendly for dogs over. Don't be put off by the two local pubs they are fine for drinking in but if you venture further afield there are nicer ones down in Tenbury Wells that do really good food.
