  • "We were a party of 6 adults and 8 children aged 4-14."

We had a fantastic time. The property is very comfortable with good sized bedrooms, excellent showers and a great living/dining space. Everyone enjoyed the hot tub and the location is ideal for exploring the beautiful Malvern Hills. We will definitely be back as a week wasn't enough.

  • "We loved the location and the property itself - the main living area was huge and all 12 of us could easily prepare food etc together with no problems."

Really liked the bathrooms with the multi-jet showers and other nice little touches dotted throughout the house. It was also nice to meet Mo and learn more about the history of the building. Would definitely return!

  • "This is a wonderful property and just what myself and friends needed for celebrating my 40th birthday."

It is set in a beautiful part of the countryside, but with all the amenities you need close by. The house is well kept with little quirks that we all enjoyed and a few secret ones too!!! I had a call to confirm the arrival plans a few hours before we got there and when we did it was a nice surprise to find little things like tea, coffee, bathroom amenities there waiting. The garden area with the hot tub is spacious and just what we needed, however it does face the main driveway so isn’t completely private, but we didn’t mind after a few glasses of fizz!! All in all we had an amazing stay and would come back in the future.

Fabulous and huge open plan living/kitchen area, great for everyone to chill/eat/drink/dance ! The photos do not do this place justice. Hot tub was lovely and bedrooms comfortable. We had a wonderful time, well worth the wait. Thank you.

  • "We travelled as 3 generations, 8 adults and 3 children 5 and under."

We wanted an enclosed garden where the children could play and a Hot Tub for the adults. We like to cook and were very impressed with the ovens and microwave. A fabulous table where we could eat and play games. We needed WiFi and this was excellent. We appreciated the fact that the radiators came on morning and evening so we were able to dry damp towels. The towels were definitely 5 star. The location was beautiful and we were in easy travelling distance of Hereford, Worcester and Malvern. We followed some of the recommendations from the owners for places to visit with children and had some lovely days out where memories were made. We hope to return.

  • "We booked this fantastic cottage for my 60th birthday celebration, it’s in a great location with many nature trails within walking distance and the local post office/shop within a 10 min walk with many locally sourced food and drink."

The cottage was great as the 6 bedrooms was just right for the 13 of us (mis of adults and grandkids). The modern finishes and fantastic en suite showers we a big hit and the family bathroom with it’s nice deep bath was great, the upper sitting/dining area was fantastic for my birthday dinner as the main dining area seated 15 comfortably, the private chef that the owner recommended ( canapés by Gill) who only lived 500 yds away is a definitely recommended as a treat , look for Gill on Facebook under her company. The weather was truly on our side and the well maintained Hot Tub was used every day/evening and a big hit, the garden was very safe for the kids as it’s all enclosed, Mo the owner is a true gentleman who left us to have a great holiday but popped by to introduce himself and made a great gesture by giving me a nice bottle of Prosecco. So if your looking for a great place for your next family break please book this fantastic cottage. Once again many thank Mo for the best staycation.

  • "We we're really excited about going away and from all the pictures we saw online this cottage looked fantastic and would seemingly meet all our requirements."

The cottage is based in a very quiet and idyllic village of Suckley, surrounded by greenery and tranquility so felt like the perfect place to unwind. We got super lucky with the weather and it was mainly 22-24c the whole week we we're there. In terms of the property itself, I would say it's got all the gloss in the pictures but lets itself down pretty quickly. I accept the place is meant to be a fusion of rustic and modern but it felt very rough round the edges in parts, just little bits like finishing/decoration etc. For example there was a massive crack around the induction hob, scuffs and marks in a lot of places etc. Garden furniture, specifically the wooden benchs/table looked like it had weathered for the last decade outside. The real problem was the comfort for all the guests, the mattresses we're not good, felt very soft and worn in and the pillows had no firmness to them. This became a chief complaint amongst most of us that stayed, the same can be said about the couch/sofa as well as it was really worn in and had no support whatsoever. We also found it really odd that two of the rooms just had open bathroom areas right next to the beds so the ensuite's in these areas were seldom used and the guests all struggled over the shared bathroom, something that wasn't completely obvious at booking. The family rooms are upstairs off the main kitchen/living room area, I'd say the rooms are at an ok distance if you have kids sleeping and people are up and about making noise, but something to be mindful of. We did like the big open kitchen/table area where we could all eat and enjoy as a social spot. Overall the property is fine, I had higher expectations for comfort for sure, possibly more suited to adult parties than with younger kids.

Lovely and spacious, easy to find and very luxurious. Only negative is there were no oven gloves which caused a few burnt fingers.

The bedrooms are all lovely but the best thing for us was the fantastic open-plan living area that allowed us to spend lots of time with each other. The kitchen is really well equipped and there was loads of room for us to sit and eat together as well as a large seating area for relaxing. The bathrooms and feature showers are great all topped off by a hot tub in a beautiful setting in the garden. Some lovely walks to be had in the surrounding area and Mo was really helpful in suggesting a local Chinese and a carvery for Sunday lunch. Spotlessly clean too. Would definitely recommend and we hope to return.

The property

This is a spectacular, upside-down detached farmhouse in the village of Suckley in the Malvern Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is a stylish, contemporary conversion of a traditional farm building that was once used in hop and grain production.

Full of charm and character, the building is full of original features and with exposed oak beams inside.

The beautiful design and finish, high-quality facilities and stunning rural location make the cottage a prime spot for friends and family to come together and enjoy a luxurious holiday.

Step into Lower Tundridge Cottage and into its lovely, spacious entrance which leads towards four of the six immaculate bedrooms, two of which have sumptuous en-suite shower rooms with body jets and rainfall shower heads.

One of the rooms on this floor is a lavish suite made up of two former oast houses; the circular, high ceilinged sections are now combined and feature a huge round bed and mosaic tiled wet-room with an impressive overhead rainfall shower, body jets and multi-colour LED lighting built-in.

There is also a family shower room on the ground floor - with two separate rainfall showers and body jets in one large cubicle - and a cloakroom.

A walk up the oak, glass-panelled staircase takes you towards the fabulous open plan living area with exposed feature roof trusses and a high vaulted ceiling.

An original hoist wheel, once used to raise grain from the ground floor, remains as a reminder of the building’s heritage.

There’s plenty of comfortable seating to relax in, a large slate breakfast bar where everyone can sit together - whether for dinner or just a glass of wine and a chat - and a fantastic woodburning stove all creating a great area to sit and relax with everybody together.

The luxury kitchen area is enough to please the most enthusiastic cooks in the family with three ovens (one of which doubles as a microwave), a dishwasher, induction hob and granite worktops.

A mezzanine area looks out over the living space through glass balustrades and provides a cosy chilling-out space where you can relax with a book or spend a few moments contemplating.

The entrance hall provides another separate space to sit and enjoy the cottage and all it has to offer.

The whole building is kept at the perfect temperature by an underfloor heating system.

The first floor also boasts two family bedrooms, making it the perfect place for families with young children to come and stay.

Each of these can accommodate two adults and up to 2 younger children.

One has an en-suite shower room and the other is served by a chic family bathroom right next door - with a free-standing bath with floor standing taps over.

Just perfect for relaxing in with a glass of wine or some bubbles…and a steam room/shower cabinet for two.

Make the most of the outstanding garden when coming to stay here, there is a lawn area, alfresco dining area and a large hot tub - with lights, waterfalls, a TV, a recliner and even a built in ice-bucket/chiller - to enjoy at your leisure.

Suckley is a delightful scattered village with the essential amenities for a holiday base as it also offers scenery and plenty of walks for you to enjoy, sitting on the Worcestershire Way.

The charming town of Malvern is a short distance away, it has some lovely buildings as well as a good range of shops and restaurants and is famed for its theatres and walks across the stunning scenery of the Malvern Hills, said to have inspired Edward Elgar.

Lower Tundridge Farm is an excellent property in the most scenic of countryside locations.
