  • "We were very happy to return to Orchard Cottage, having first stayed there at the end of 2021."

Once again, it did not disappoint. The cottage is very well equipped, with everything you might need. We felt at home immediately. Thank you, Rose, for the lovely welcome pack and fresh flowers - a lovely touch, as were the full soap dispensers in bathroom, downstairs toilet and kitchen along with full washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets and washing machine tablets - very generous of you. As we said last time, the cottage had been renovated to a very high standard but kept some of the old features e.g ceiling beams. We were very lucky with the spring weather which gave us some insight into how lovely it would be there in the summer. The large patio area is south facing and a lovely sun-trap all day. It was also lovely to see, and hear, the sheep and lambs in the fields next to the cottage. Being colder in the evenings allowed us to enjoy cosy evening by the wood-burner. Altogether, we would thoroughly recommend Orchard Cottage and would love to return someday.

  • "A beautiful well packaged cottage, seated in upmost peaceful countryside, with stunning views all round."

This holiday cottage is very well equipped, with a heart warming welcome hamper including local high quality produce. The cottage has been renovated to very high standard with no expense spared, in any of the rooms. The cottage includes games room in the basement which is very cool in summer and I loved using during our stay. The games room makes the cottage a great place to stay if you have kids any age as they can spend hours in there. There is a basketball hoop on the outdoor patio, which has been added since i believe, which is great fun to use for adults or kids. The outdoor shed is great addition, as it includes the barbecue, toys and other essentials to use throughout your holiday. One of the best features is the summer house located at the top of the garden. The summer house has two comfy chairs and side table inside, making it easy to relax up there for hours, looking out across the fields and the local farm. The summer house is very peaceful with no busy road noise or other loud distractions like you get in the city’s. The lawn is very large on the property, which is very uncommon to see on a holiday cottage. The lawn is fenced all round to a high standard making it safe for children to play around on. In conclusion orchard cottage is great place for family’s or couples to stay and you definitely won’t be disappointed. I would highly recommend it to any one reading this.

The cleanliness was not great. The cottage could do with some TLC. The bathroom had black Mould between the tiles and the seal. The front of the oven was not clean had to wipe microwave. One of the walls in the kitchen looks like it had food stains on the wall. And the window sills in the bedroom were not clean at all. The cottage looks like it could do with repainting all the walls.

Thank you for your feedback. The Cottage is being repainted this week and the cleaning issues have been addressed. Property Owner

We were even provided with toiletries etc for our toddler. The host is incredibly thoughtful with all the extra touches she provides. The house is spacious, has high quality furnishings and fittings and was well cared for. Everything we needed was provided, but the house didn't feel cluttered. The perfect spot to relax and recharge, taking in views of the countryside and local farms. Thought has gone into providing everything you need to enjoy your stay. The cook among us, really enjoyed cooking in the well equipped kitchen, "This kitchen is the best I have cooked in", of our years holidaying up and down the country. We strolled through Tenbury and drove the 10 miles to Ludlow enjoying all the little individual shops, both towns had markets on the days we chose to visit, stopping for lunch or cake at Ludlows Castle Buttery, a great little Cafe. We used a local butcher, The Wrye Pie Company, his pork, sausages & bacon all top quality, we bought produce back home with us. We took advantage of the little alcove outside the farm, at the bottom of the drive, with honesty box, fresh eggs, jam & fruit on this occasion. Rose, thank you for your care and attention, we will return again !

If you want to get away from it all then Orchard Cottage is the place for you. A much appreciated hamper awaited us on arrival and the cottage has everything you need to enjoy a relaxing time away. We can thoroughly recommend it to both couples wanting a getaway and families (not many cottages have their very own games room!) Colin & Barbara Smith

  • "We booked orchard cottage on the recommendation of our daughter who stayed over new year and we weren't disappointed."

The cottage has been renovated to a high standard and has everything you would need. It was warm and cosy as the weather was so bad we needed the heating on most nights. We even tried the logburner one night although must admit it was a bit too warm for this time of the year but will be great in winter. The playroom will be great bonus for children and we even had a few games of darts. Rose was so helpful and friendly and the welcome pack of cider, beer, elderflower water and chocolates was a lovely thought. I would recommend this cottage to anyone wanting a nice peaceful holiday in a lovely area.

  • "Beautiful cottage in a spectacular location amongst neighboring orchards and farm fields."

Our children really enjoyed seeing the animals up close while playing outside, they also really appreciated the games room. There was a basket of homemade goodies on our arrival very thoughtfully left by our hosts and the cottage had everything else we could need, including towels and plenty of essentials. The local village just a short drive away has lovely little shops, a cinema and takeaways for the days when you want to really relax and do nothing! We would not hesitate to stay here again and would highly recommend orchard cottage.

Nice welcome pack. Enjoyed the stay, not too far from towns and attractions, and all that you need back at the cottage.
