  • "Had a wonderful stay at Woodstock Lodge."

Very comfortable, the bedding was the softest Dorna sheets I've ever experienced, so very comfortable. Met the owners parents who were ever so friendly and accommodating. Thanks for sorting out our movie nights after our long walks Charles. Highly recommend the Malvern Hills walks this time of year , out of the 7 we did the only one where walking boots were better than wellies. Would definitely return if the opportunity presented itself.

  • "Lovely tranquil setting, peaceful and quiet."

The cottage was well kept and clean. BUT... only 4 hours worth of logs left, post office closed over the festive period closed so unable to purchase anymore. Had to purchase heater to keep cottage warm. knives were blunt. The mattress was very poor and uncomfortable.

We apologise you were disappointed in your stay. Our welcome manual clearly states you recieve a starter pack and can purchase extra logs. The post office was closed however this is out of our control. There are other places which do supply and my parents who live next door could have provided you extra too. I am unsure why you had to purchase an extra heater as there is central heating. If you needed support, again you just needed to knock next door. We will review the sharpness of the knives, we appreciate this being pointed out. With regard to the mattress it is a very high end mattress, and gets 99% positive feedback. We are sorry it was not to your liking. We completely understand if you would not like to return and this would be mutually beneficial as the cleaning required after your departure was financially high and time consuming. I will not go into detail but it was something we would not like experience again. Property Owner

  • "A pleasurable experience in a lovely cottage and location."

Pretty garden to sit out and excellent parking by the door. Good shower, comfortable bed, nice sofas. In our opinion extra cleaning is required in the kitchen - extractor fan which smells and a couple of lower level cupboards. Apart from this, we would recommend this cottage and would happily return.

  • "The property is a modern furnished and well equipped property in need of TLC."

It is located on a narrow busy country road (in our opinion not suitable for walking). The kitchen and bathroom were not as clean as expected. The bedroom was very good with an excellent bed however no suitable seat / stool was provided for a dressing table. The lounge had large but not so comfortable sofas. The exterior was provided with a modern table and chairs but no sunshade (south facing - not usable in full sun). Parking at the property was excellent.

We are extremely disappointed that we did not meet your cleanliness expectations. It would be greatly appreciated if you could contact us directly to give the specifics so we can feedback this back to our cleaners. plhproperties.rentals@gmail.com Once again we can only apologise that your stay did not meet our usual high standard, but hope that you will return in the future so we can renew your trust in our abilities. It was clean, comfortable and well equipped with plenty of parking space. The owners, Margaret and Charles and their son Paul were always on hand for any tips regarding the area and where to go but at the same time were not intrusive. We had a very good week at the cottage and can recommend 'The Live and Let Live' pub, a real gem at Bringsty Common. I think it's walkable but we took the car - it's about 1.5 miles and only took about 15 minutes and we had a very scrummy meal there. The Cross Keys pub was walkable from the cottage and though they don't serve food the hospitality from the landlady and locals was worth the short walk as was the beer. The Malvern Hills are lovely and St Anns Well (café), on the walk down from The Worcestershire Beacon to Gt Malvern served a most delicious sandwich. We visited 4 NT properties in the area (The Firs (Elgars Birthplace, very interesting talk given by a NT volunteer), Brockhampton Hall (well worth a visit), Croft Castle and Berrington Hall and all within a short drive from the cottage. We can certainly recommend Woodstock Lodge for a quiet relaxing break.
