  • "A good stay at the apartment, unfortunately cut short by the arrival of snow when we decided we needed to get home."

The apartment was very clean, comfortable and spacious. The décor was good and the kitchen had everything we needed. It has a good size bathroom with excellent shower. It was quiet there despite being a working farm and the owners were nice friendly people. It was nice to have a welcome pack on arrival, much appreciated. It is an easy run from there into Hereford.

  • "We really enjoyed our week exploring the area (lots to see and do) but found that just a few improvements to the apartment could have made our stay more comfortable."

Whilst very clean with some nice features, a spacious shower room and new appliances, this is really a "no frills" apartment. The description on the website was misleading in places - eg the kitchen was not really what we'd call "fully equipped" (missing some basic helpful items eg colander, cheese grater) and the bedrooms were not "sumptuous" (small double bed with one of the most uncomfortable mattresses I've come across and not much else). There were no blinds on the Velux windows in the bedrooms (ok in October, probably not ok for many in summer), no hairdryer (unusual for holiday rentals) and there was very little to make the apartment cosy and welcoming. Most places we've stayed in have left a pint of milk as a minimum and have included plenty of guidebooks and local tips. There were just two of us so we could put our cases in the other bedroom (and we moved the clothes rail which was in the dining area in there) but two couples in this apartment would be a bit of a squash with small bedrooms, little storage and limited room in the kitchen area. Finally, it didn't look like the apartment had been checked before we arrived as we were greeted by at least 20 flies on one of the windows.

  • "Really enjoyed our stay."

Beautiful area. Apartment well equipped with new appliances. Maybe needed a few more curtains for bedrooms but overall felt that the host had put a lot of effort in to ensure we had a pleasant holiday.

  • "We very much enjoyed our stay at apartment 2, Lower Venn."

The position was excellent for visiting surrounding villages and Hereford. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly. We found it interesting being on a working sheep farm and we would like to return one day.
