    Really warm and welcoming which was a bonus in November. Would benefit from a king size bed but other than that it was a wonderful stay and really enjoyed ourselves. Would return to this property and reccomend. One of the best properties we have stayed in.

The property

This beautiful cottage is situated in the heart of the pretty Warwickshire village of Baxterley.

This all ground floor cottage provides high quality accommodation ideal for a romantic break for guests wishing to explore this stunning part of the country.

The quality is evident as you step into the cottage through the front door with a lovely hall, through to the delightful sitting room with lovely views across the garden to the fields and countryside beyond.

Relax on the sumptuous sofas while taking in a favourite film.

The kitchen is very well equipped for those wishing to prepare a romantic meal and a good night's sleep is guaranteed in the gorgeous bedroom complete with crisp cotton bedlinen and en-suite bathroom.

The front decked area provides the ideal place for a morning coffee or relax with a drink while watching the sun set before heading out to the local pub for a well earned home cooked meal.

From the front door there are plenty of walking and cycling opportunities to enjoy with great pubs along the way.

Take a stroll around the local town of Atherstone were you will find a large selection of shops, cafes, historic buildings and lovely walks either through the town or canalside.

Further afield you can enjoy the historic houses of William Shakespeare, Warwick Castle, The National memorial Arboretum and many National Trust properties.

A 20 minute drive away will take you to the picturesque village if Market Bosworth with an award winning fish and chip shop, an excellent tea shop and many old pubs and coaching inns as well as regular markets being held in the market square.

Further afield there are many big, busy cities such as Birmingham and Leicester to enjoy.

Whatever you decide, you will surely be spoilt for choice.

The pretty Saxon village of Baxterley is surrounded by beautiful Warwickshire countryside, the centre of which has a large wildlife pond which is overlooked by the popular village pub. The village boasts its very own airfield which plays hosts to shows throughout the year. Just 2 miles away is the Roman town of Atherstone which has many historic buildings, a market square, traditional pubs, tea rooms and many individual shops. Many lovely walks can be enjoyed in the area or take a day trip to one of the many popular attractions, Warwick Castle, Twycross Zoo or Bosworth Battlefield. Sample the delicious chocolate at Cadbury World or take in a show at the NEC or one of the numberous theatres in Birmingham.
