  • "We enjoyed our week in The Butler's Quarters very much indeed."

There was lots to do in the surrounding area and the property was very comfortable. Our hosts couldn't have been more helpful in every way.

Thank you so much for your lovely feedback and for being such great guests. It was lovely to meet you both and we hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back again sometime too. Thank you for leaving everywhere so clean and tidy - so much appreciated. Every warm wish. Property Owner

  • "We loved it."

We were made very welcome. The Butler's Quarters were spacious and comfortable, had the manor house character but the facilities were modern and clean. There is such a variety of things to do and see in the area that we are planning to book again, and I have never re-booked a holiday in my life. Also, Shropshire is much more affordable than the Cotswolds and just as nice! Great days out within a short drive in any direction. Here's what we did: Walk up Brown Clee, Shrewsbury including a tour of the Prison, Attingham Park, RAF Cosford, Whitewick House, Bridgnorth town, and West Mids Safari Park.

Thank you Zoe and Steve for your lovely feedback - you were very easy to make feel welcome. We are so glad that you enjoyed staying in the Butler's Quarters and that you had a great time exploring Shropshire. Very impressed that you walked up brown Clee - that's set us the challenge now!! We would very much love to welcome you back and look forward to seeing you again. Thank you for leaving everything really clean and tidy too - very much appreciated. Property Owner

  • "The Butler's Quarters is a well designed and lovely 'bolt hole' to stay at while in Shropshire."

The owners (Chris and Kate) welcomed us on arrival and gave us a quick low-down on the area, as well as a tour of the 'quarters' - there was even an inclusion of a well-stocked welcome hamper (big shout-out to the cake which was well and truly devoured!). The accommodation had all of the amenities you'd need (as well as a few more) with a big squishy sofa and wonderfully comfortable bed! This was a last-minute booking, and you often run the risk of being disappointed, but we can honestly say we'll be back again. The location is perfect for visiting the surrounding areas, as well as being incredibly peaceful with excellent views (for those, like us, who wanted to hunker down for a few days). For a couple in need of some rest, relaxation and the occasional trip/walk, we couldn't recommend The Butler's Quarters more! Thank you Chris and Kate for a lovely holiday

Thank you both for such lovely and greatly appreciated feedback. We are so very glad that you had a comfortable stay and a much well deserved break. Also glad you enjoyed the cake!! You were an absolute pleasure to have as guests and we would really love to welcome you back again. Thank you, as well, for leaving everywhere so clean and tidy - really appreciated. Property Owner

It was very clean and comfortable with everything you could possibly need for a self catering break. It is so peaceful and quiet surrounded by lovely countryside. Chris and Kate were the perfect hosts. They gave us a very warm welcome and a much appreciated gift of bread, milk, eggs and cake. The apartment is located centrally for all the things we wanted to do. National Trust properties, old market towns ( Much Whenlock, Bridgenorth & Ludlow) and a visit to David Austin roses. We dined out at the Talbot Inn, Much Whenlock and can highly recommend the food and ambiance.

  • "Set in a beautiful and idyllic landscape."

Private and secure parking. Use of private lawn area. A charming residence and holiday let. Owners extremely welcoming and helpful, and live on site close by. Unfortunately there's poor signage to Bourton from Much Wenlock - no good if you don't do sat-nav! Instead, you just need to find the B4378 out of the town. Simple once you know! Otherwise there's a wealth of beauty and history within just a 15 mile radius of the hamlet of Bourton - Much Wenlock, Ironbridge Gorge, Shrewsbury, Wroxeter Roman City, Bridgenorth, etc. Wouldn't hesitate to return!

Thank you so very much for your lovely feedback - we are so glad that you enjoyed the location and the accommodation and were able to explore so much of the surrounding countryside. Great tip about the signposting out of Much Wenlock - really useful for future guests. We are so pleased to hear that you wouldn't hesitate to return - we look forward to welcoming you back. The Butler’s Quarters have been kitted out to a high standard indeed and one feels rather grand to be even living in this small portion of the Manor, their home. Everything one needs is provided for a very comfortable stay, but the double flight of stairs to the bedroom/bathroom (although wide) may be difficult for those with walking difficulties, even though the kitchen half way up does gives a convenient place to rest.
