  • "The property was excellent, just as described and more."

The welcome we were given was informative and the owners were very friendly, helpful and informative regarding the local area etc and very quick to act when a problem occurred and it was fixed at the earliest opportunity. The area is beautiful with many places of interest on the doorstep and we are planning to visit again in the future.

Thank you so very much indeed for your lovely and comprehensive feedback - so useful for us and for future guests. Thank you also for leaving the Old Nursery so clean and tidy - so very much appreciated. We really hope to welcome you back to Bourton. Property Owner

  • "Kate and Chris have made a lovely home from home for exploring beautiful Shropshire."

I had a fantastic week at the Old Nursery - one of the best places I've stayed in terms of comfort and giving access to all the local attractions. There's so much to see within an hours drive of the property, and the countryside is beautiful - I'm already planning next year's trip! Must sees - Ironbridge, Stokesay Castle, Powis Castle and the other National Trust properties in the area including Wightwick and Dudmaston, and the drive along The Burway over the tops of the hills for amazing views.

Bless you - thank you for such lovely feedback. We are so glad that you had a great week - you certainly visited and explored a lot!! Thank you for leaving The Old Nursery SO clean and tidy also. We hope to welcome you back again sometime. Property Owner

  • "We had a wonderful stay in this comfortable apartment in an idyllic setting with splendid views."

The owners were very warm & welcoming and we were very grateful for the groceries including home-made cake. There is so much to do in the area; walking on The Long Mynd, visiting National Trust properties, the beautiful peaceful Much Wenlock Priory and Roundton Hill nature reserve. The Talbot Inn and the George & Dragon in Much Wenlock are good for an evening meal.

Thank you for your lovely feedback which is really appreciated. We are so glad that you had a good stay and that you were able to explore so much of the lovely Shropshire countryside too. We are so pleased that you have booked again and look forward to welcoming you back. Property Owner

We received a very warm welcome. The property was clean and well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. Would definitely return. • "If Sykes Cottages have premium listings this accommodation should be on it."

We have stayed in quite a few properties with Sykes and others over the years and this was the best yet. Our only, slightly negative comment is that the lounge and dining room chairs are not as comfortable as they look.

It was perfectly situated for sightseeing, walking and relaxing. A marvellous home with all that you could need for a week or more away from home. We would throughly recommend this home to anyone interested in exploring this area. The hosts, by the way, were great fun and very helpful.

  • "Lovely accommodation and very friendly owners."

Set within its own secure courtyard a first floor spacious apartment accessed via outdoor safety steps and a few stairs as you enter vestibule but then all on one floor. Immaculate and tastefully decorated throughout with quality furnishings and appliances. Very light and airy feel. Wifi excellent. Comfy beds. Ensuite shower room in double room. Superb bathroom opposite twin room. Piping hot water and thick towels. Bonus of own private garden area, with shed containing chairs, overlooking fields. Found the chairs and couch a little hard as we like squidgy ones, but might be great for others. Highly recommended. Blissful week during the mid July heatwave. Many thanks

  • "Very friendly and informative hosts."

Property is nicely positioned for sightseeing and walking, pubs and restaurants [Early in week limited to Much Wenlock or further afield as local pubs/restaurants not open]. Property set in own pleasant grounds. Not suitable for those with limited mobility. This may be clear from the listing but we didn't check as it didn't apply!

  • "Everything was lovely and the property was ideally located for us to visit Shrewsbury, Ironbridge, Church Stretton (with walks near Long Mynd) and Much Wenlock."

It is a beautiful setting a few miles outside the nearest town. It was great to have the 2 bathrooms and everything we needed seemed to have been provided. I guess if I could change one thing, with 4 of us staying we would have preferred a larger, more comfortable sofa or another armchair so we could all have more room to relax in the evening.
