Buildwas is a small rural village situated near the beautiful Severn valley in Shropshire. There is a village hall, a village school, a church and the most beautiful historic ruins. It has a thriving community and events held during the year that are open to all, and run by a team of willing volunteers. About ten miles northwest of Bridgnorth and some two miles upstream from the famous Iron Bridge, there is much to explore in the area. The village also has a nine-hole golf course, which runs between the River Severn and Ironbridge Power Station. It is open to members of Buildwas Abbey Club. Close to Telford with its shopping centre and glossy buildings, as well as Shropshire, appreciated for its timber-framed black & white buildings, steep narrow streets and alleyways.
