The property scores high for location and comfort. You are right in the heart of Ironbridge and all the attractions of the World Heritage Site are within easy walking/driving distance. The famous Ironbridge is literally 2 mins walk from the front door. As previously reviews have mentioned the owner works in the shop below and is always at hand should you need any assistance. Access to the property is off street and parking is not easy and at peak times you may well be parked a bit away from the property due to there being double yellow lines on both sides of the road outside the property. (There is a small pay and display carpark in an adjoining street about 150 yards away) Elderly or infirm may struggle with the stairs as you need to climb two flights to get to the main accommodation. The bathroom is on the first floor with the kitchen, lounge and bedroom all on the top floor. The kitchen is well appointed with all you need for your everyday cooking needs. The bedroom has a lovely comfortable king size bed and is at the front of the property looking on to the main street. There are a few pubs and restaurants close by so you may suffer noise from these late at night, especially at the weekend. The blind in the bedroom is not blackout and lets in a fair amount of natural daylight. I found the internet signal to be rather poor and this may be due to the connection being shared with the business premises downstairs and this provided difficulty in using the internet and using the streaming services available via the TV. Ironbridge is such a great place to visit and if you want all the attractions close at hand then this property will certainly deliver this.

The property

Situated in the heart of Ironbridge town centre, this one-bedroom apartment mixes charming original features like exposed beams and large windows with contemporary decor and furnishings.

This, combined with its central location, makes it the perfect place for a couple looking to explore the beautiful towns and countryside of Shropshire.

The entrance to this property is tucked away down a stone passageway beside the owner's café; through the front door there is a flight of stairs leading up to the first floor.

On the right is a luxurious family bathroom with spacious shower and up a further flight of stairs is the remainder of the accommodation.

This consists of a fully-equipped kitchen with table and stools, a cosy sitting room with imitation woodburning stove and two sofas that can be converted into sofa beds, as well as an elegantly decorated double bedroom with comfortable king-size bed.

The windows from the kitchen and sitting room boast fantastic views over Ironbridge as well as the River Severn, and the bedroom looks out onto a garden area in the town centre.

The property is a stone's throw from all the shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs that Ironbridge offers, as well as heritage attractions like the Ironbridge UNESCO World Heritage Site or the Ironbridge Gorge Museum.

Due to its beautiful interior and central location, this property would be an ideal base for a couple looking for a relaxing break in the historical Shropshire town of Ironbridge.

About the location

IRONBRIDGE

Telford 6 miles; Bridgnorth 8.5 miles; Shrewsbury 15 miles.

Ironbridge Gorge is known throughout the world as the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution.

Today the area is far from industrial and nature has reclaimed most of the former industrial sites, leaving a unique and beautiful wooded valley.

The gorge is a now a maze of footpaths, bridleways and country lanes whilst the delightful village is famous for being home of the world's first iron-built bridge, built between 1777-79.

The village has a splendid variety of pubs, restaurants, shops and tea rooms and a collection of ten industrial and Victorian themed museums makes up the Ironbridge Museums Trust, including the exciting Blists Hill Victorian Village.

Within driving distance are the popular historical towns of Shrewsbury, Bridgnorth, Much Wenlock and Ludlow, as well as the Wroxeter Roman City, the Severn valley Railway, the RAF Cosford Museum and many National Trust properties.

Ironbridge is a wonderful base from which to explore the beautiful county of Shropshire. .
