Boasting a stunning garden and resting close to the River Severn and the very reputable local pub, The Black Swan, Gorge View is ideal for those looking for a tranquil setting from which to explore the neighbouring historic town of Ironbridge and many more Shropshire places of interest.

Be welcomed into the property and make your way into the beautiful open-plan kitchen and dining room to grab some refreshments after a riverside walk, gather around the kitchen island and begin making lunch using the excellent range of kitchen appliances, and then sit at the dining table, set before a homely gas fire.

Close to Gorge View is the Jackfield Tile Museum which houses some of the best examples of Victorian tiling, with a recreated pub, tube station and church to show the amazing craftsmanship of this art form.

The Blists Hill Victorian Town can take you back in time to life more than 100 years ago, with some 'real' Victorians showing you around their cottages, shops as well as workshops and factories, or head to the Coalbrookdale Museum of Iron where you can discover how Coalbrookdale iron changed the world and see some stunning exhibits.

Walk over the famous cast-iron bridge that made this town known to the world and delight in exploring the shops and pubs at Ironbridge, or stay closer to home and visit one of the three pubs close by to the property.

Telford 6 miles; Bridgnorth 8.5 miles; Shrewsbury 15 miles.

Ironbridge Gorge is known throughout the world as the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution. Today the area is far from industrial and nature has reclaimed most of the former industrial sites, leaving a unique and beautiful wooded valley. The gorge is a now a maze of footpaths, bridleways and country lanes whilst the delightful village is famous for being home of the world's first iron-built bridge, built between 1777-79. The village has a splendid variety of pubs, restaurants, shops and tea rooms and a collection of ten industrial and Victorian themed museums makes up the Ironbridge Museums Trust, including the exciting Blists Hill Victorian Village. Within driving distance are the popular historical towns of Shrewsbury, Bridgnorth, Much Wenlock and Ludlow, as well as the Wroxeter Roman City, the Severn valley Railway, the RAF Cosford Museum and many National Trust properties. Ironbridge is a wonderful base from which to explore the beautiful county of Shropshire.
