It is spacious, comfortable and warm, with the heat regulated by us. The position of the cottage is superb, close to Ironbridge Gorge and other lovely scenery. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The property

A well-presented, detached bungalow, situated on a quiet lane in the village of Jackfield, Shropshire.

Modernised and brightly decorated throughout, with traditional styling, this lovely cottage has everything needed for the perfect family holiday.

Enter the cottage through the stained glass front door, and into a central hallway, with a stripped wooden floor, leading through to the fitted kitchen with a dining area.

There is a comfy sitting room to the front of the cottage offering a relaxing area to chill and talk or watch TV, whilst to the rear of the cottage is a bright and airy conservatory, with views across the Severn to the far river bank and woodland.

The pretty, enclosed rear garden overlooks the local riverside village pub and picturesque River Severn, affording a lovely spot to sunbathe or dine alfresco and relax into the evening.

The Wrekin Way trail runs past the bottom of the garden, leading to the Shropshire Way and on into Ironbridge, which is only a 15-minute walk away.

Here you will find many museums, cafes, craft shops and restaurants, plus two good pubs within two minutes’ of the cottage, as well as the popular Jackfield Tile Museum, if you don’t want to venture too far.

Further afield you can visit the Shropshire towns of Ellesmere, Market Drayton and Whitchurch, where there are many attractions to suit all tastes.

A charming cottage, in a superb location for exploring this delightful area of Shropshire.
