  • "A lovely cottage with every facility for a comfortable stay."

Much Wenlock is a perfect holiday location with shops, delis and places to eat. The only thing we would feedback is the lack of comfortable outdoor seating to enjoy lazy breakfasts and a glass of wine in the evening. Bench style seating just doesn’t cut it. We almost didn’t book because of this and would have missed out on a great venue. We packed camping chairs, not ideal. Lots of stylish alternatives for summer seating out there….

  • "The property was much as described but was extremely cold which made it a bit miserable."

There were instructions on how to increase the heat but we could not get it above 18 deg and think the thermostat was set there. We did use the fire a lot but the heat didnt reach the bedrooms. Other than that the only other thing I didn’t like were all the skull and animal skins which I don’t believe were needed and distracted from the property.

Hi there, I’m really sorry you had problems with the heating. Did you use the Honeywell remote thermostat box which was sitting on the butchers block as described in the instructions? The touch screen is very simple to use - On/Off and temp Up/Down. The thermostat on the wall doesn’t work - it had been disconnected by the gas technician several years ago so I was surprised to see that the screen was lit up. I can assure you the temperature is not set to any maximum, you could have had the cottage as warm as you’d liked via the remote box described in the instruction booklet. With regards to the decor - I’m really sorry these weren’t to your taste however both the skins and skulls are visible in the photos of the property! I’m really sorry you didn’t enjoy your stay, Kind regards, Property Owner

  • "This is a stunning property and beautifully presented."

A great deal of thought has clearly been put into making it a welcoming and delightful place to stay. The property was also exceptionally clean, The provision of milk, tea, coffee and sugar upon arrival was appreciated as well as plenty of wood if wishing to make use of the wood burning stove. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in the Much Wenlock area.

Many thanks for the feedback - much appreciated!! I’m so pleased you enjoyed your stay ☺️☺️ Property Owner

  • "This was a lovely well equipped cottage in a perfect town centre location."

Much Wenlock is a delight. The garden made it feel open. The beds, towels and linen were all top quality and really comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipped and it was useful to be supplied with milk, oil, condiments, foil etc. Three of the spotlights were out and unable to be replaced without calling an electrician which I hope has now taken place. The fire/smoke alarm was very sensitive, triggered by using the toaster and frying food. The area around the bathroom taps needs attention. But these are minor niggles that can easily be sorted. Overall it was a great place to stay and I would recommend it. Thank you

  • "We had a fantastic stay at 2 Kings college."

The cottage is lovely. We spent alot of time in the dining area with the bi-fold doors open. The kitchen is very well equipped. Much Wenlock is a lovely quaint town and a good base to visit the nearby area. Ironbridge, Shrewsbury and Ludlow were our favourites. The Woodbridge arms was our favourite pub on the river a couple of miles from Ironbridge. We also hired a kayak from Bridhenorth to Arley and got the stream train back. We used canoes UK. They were very good. The Royal Airforce Museum as Cosford was well worth a visit and Telford town park has plenty going on if you have children. I definitely recommend the cottage and this location.

  • "We where upset that we weren’t told that next door had builders in starting noisy work at 8am, which wasn’t relaxing start to our day!"

!! Otherwise beautiful home, very well appointed. The beds were slightly too soft but that might be personal preference.

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback following your stay at 2 King Street, we are so happy you enjoyed our home. I would like to offer my sincerest apologies that you were not made aware of the building work, we have not received any complaints regarding this so far and do hope it didn't impact too much on your stay or deter you from visiting us in the future. • "This is a very lovely and well thought out cottage."

Our only suggestions for improvement would be to change the mattress protectors to the cool Max type which help overheating in bed! We would also prefer not to have the reindeer pelts scattered around as they shed and are not good for allergies. Otherwise this is a superb cottage and our comments are only suggestions not criticisms. We loved Much Wenlock and the local facilities and the surrounding area is stunning.

  • "We had the most wonderful few days at this property."

The cottage itself is beautiful, so tastefully decorated, with every possible thing you could need. Much Wenlock is also a lovely place to stay, with a couple of great pubs, a deli and a lovely park to entertain the children. Also near to the Victorian museums at Blists Hill and the beautiful town of Ironbridge with its famous and historical iron bridge, there was something for everyone. We would recommend this holiday to everyone!

The location is ideal for exploring historic Much Wenlock on foot. It is also a good centre from which to explore further afield. We would happily recommend 2 King Street for a quiet, relaxing break with all the facilities needed for self-catering. There are also good local places to eat out that have Covid-19 precautions in place. All the rooms were comfortable and homely.
