"Brilliant cottage and will be coming back next year"
"I had a very enjoyable stay at Queens Cottage."
Upon arrival the Cottage was lovely and warm with a welcome hamper that was a pleasant surprise. The accommodation is maintained very well. There was a good supply of wood provided for the log burner too. The Cottage is located just a short walk from shops, restaurants and pubs. I would not hesitate to recommend this cottage to anyone considering a stay in Much Wenclock.
"A gorgeous cosy cottage in a beautiful village."
Everything catered for and the welcome basket was a lovely surprise. We would definitely return.

Lovely cottage stairs we’re a challenge but was made fully aware of it will be booking again for a summer holiday the Christmas tree and decorations with the welcome basket was really nice effort thankyou
"Very enjoyable break wonderful cosy cottage will definitely be back"
"A fabulous cottage with everything you could possibly need to make an enjoyable stay."
Very comfortable bed! Great location, with the village only a short walk away. Local information found in the cottage could benefit from being updated for visitors, as we found some nearby businesses had closed (such as one of the pubs and the Chinese takeaway). Apart from that very minor point we had a great week.
"Beautiful cottage with all the facilities we wanted and kept v clean, with great setting close to all amenities of much wenlock."
It’s an ideal base to explore Shropshire. The fact that WiFi was down until BT dig up the road was an issue for us but not the owner’s fault.
"The holiday was good, had a slight problem with the beginning but no fault of anybody’s, enjoyed"
"It was very hot and unable to open windows"
"The internet did not work all week."
After a lot of hassle A neighbour advised that a pole had fallen - pity we were not told. We left a note for owner/next occupant The property handbook is well out of date eg rubbish arrangements However a decent enough property.
"Beautiful comfortable cottage, perfect base to explore the area."
Accommodation was immaculate and would highly recommend
"We have stayed in many Sykes cottages and this met all our expectations."
The listing was very accurate and the cottage is very comfortable and well equipped. One minor point is that it is a bit odd that the bedroom window does not open - especially unfortunate when the weather is warm! The stairs are challenging but this is very well described in the listing. Parking was never a problem, always within a few yards. Much Wenlock is a great place to visit, with excellent pubs and restaurants plus good walking and places to visit, both in the town and the surrounding area.
"Queens Cottage was very comfortable, well appointed and in a great location."
Great walks on the doorstep, as well as shops and eateries. It was also very peaceful which was an added bonus. This was our third booking with Sykes - different cottages, very different locations and they have all been excellent.
"Very pleased and would stay again, small issue with the lack of proper equipment for the fire."
Needs more than just a poker really but plenty of logs and kindling which was great. Overall recommend a stay here for sure.
"Clean, comfortable, cosy, well appointed."
The welcome basket of wine, chocolates and olives was a lovely touch.
"This only gets a "met expectations" because we had high expectations in the 1st place."
We wanted a really cosy, old (but with modern facilities), character full cottage within an easy walk of a little market town with pubs and shops - and that is exactly what we got. Really great cottage with a nice big kitchen (with all the utensils and cooking items you want), lovely bedroom (fantastically comfortable, big bed), cute lounge with log burner and a small outside area with table and chairs. All the facilities you want and well decorated and kept. And Much Wenlock is beautiful and characterful. 5 pubs, 2 pub restaurants, a pottery (with bar), Indian restaurant and Chinese take-away, great butchers, bakers, 3 coffee/tea cafes, 2 small supermarkets and a friendly deli plus a chocolate shop, all within 3 minutes walk!!!! The stairs are old, and very steep with small steps so whilst they are part of the character of the cottage you need to be mobile enough to navigate them.
"The cottage is delightful and in a perfect position for walks and facilities in Much Wenlock and the surrounding area."
The welcome basket was filled with wonderful goodies - we especially loved the chocolates, a real treat. We only stayed a couple of nights - probably the hottest nights of the year with amazing thunderstorms. We couldn't open the bedroom window so could really have done with a fan but the weather really was extreme when we were there. I would have no hesitation in recommending the cottage and hope to be back sometime.
"The location was really good a good base for a relaxing break"
"Enjoyed the decor, and how cosy it was."
"Great location on a quiet street - always found parking straight opposite the cottage."
A stone’s throw from the town centre. Cottage was very comfortable, clean and cosy and we had everything we needed.
"The accommodation was excellent ."
Everything you could wish for comfort and more besides. We enjoyed staying in this delightful cottage and it could not have been more convenient for the local Christmas Festivities and surrounding areas.
"I have fallen in love with Much Wenlock and this cottage!"
The owners could not have gone to greater lengths to make this property an ideal get away from it all. We will be back... please. Jane
"Fabulous little cottage, spotlisly clean, you could not ask for more."
Very comfortable, Just a stones throw from facilities, restaurants etc.
"This property was exactly as we expected, spotlessly clean and well equipped, excellent value for money and only a couple of minutes walk to all amenities."
The stairs are steep but this is highlighted in the property details so was not unexpected. Although no dedicated parking we had no trouble at all finding free parking very close to the cottage. Would highly recommend. However, please have the directions to the property corrected - they send you past the property into another street!!
"Lovely cottage, just off the centre of the village, had a great stay thanks."
However we used the app owner instructions to try and find property. They were wrong. I think that something must have got lost in translation!! Please could you revisit them and amend. So it took us a while to locate the property, but once we were there everything was great.
