  • "Great property in a lovely little town."

Really enjoyed our stay. Only recommendation is that extra comfortable seating (sofa/armchair) in living room to make it more comfortable for all six to sit.

  • "We had a very enjoyable week at Wheatlands which is a comfortable and very well situated property."

It was an easy walk into Much Wenlock where there were a variety of shops and eateries. My husband in particular enjoyed the excellent variety and quality at the very popular pie shop. The countryside around Much Wenlock is idyllic and trips to Bridgnorth, Shrewsbury,Telford and Ironbridge a must to really appreciate the county. We don’t usually return to properties preferring pastures new but we may seriously consider a further visit to Wheatlands.

The beds are super comfy, and the two bathrooms are fabulous. The garden is lovely and very safe for little ones to play out in. The village itself is simply beautiful, you could sit in the square for hours with a coffee. Plenty of bars serving food, and cafés for a snack. Annie the owner was a text message away if you needed anything. A fabulous week away in a fantastic cottage.

The house has the Wow factor. It is spotlessly clean and very well equipped. The beds are very comfortable, ensuring a great night sleep. It also has a lovely garden with plenty of space to dine outside. We would not hesitate to return again in the future.

Quite a find, somewhere large and accommodating so close to walkable amenities. Spotless and well thought out with everything needed for a perfect stay. The owner was in touch as and when needed and the chocolate, fizz and milk for a welcome brew on arrival were much appreciated.

  • "We had a wonderful week staying at Wheatlands."

The property was spotlessly clean and had everything you could want for a comfortable break. The location was excellent - a short stroll into Much Wenlock with its pretty streets and cafes. The playground over the road was a bonus too! We also found lots to do in the local area with our three children, they particularly enjoyed the Ironbridge museums, as well as Hoo Zoo with its dinosaurs. All in all, an excellent holiday!

  • "A lovely modern, spacious, immaculately clean and comfortable bungalow within easy walking distance of the centre of the pretty town of Much Wenlock."

We found ample places nearby to visit during our week, including the very interesting museum and the abbey ruins in Much Wenlock itself. It was an extra treat that our stay coincided with the end of the Much Wenlock Festival when a number of local cottages owners opened their delightful gardens to the public. We enjoyed our visits to nearby Ironbridge and its museums, Benthall Hall, Stokesay Castle, and Shrewsbury, and Shropshire countryside is beautiful. Can definitely recommend both this excellent bungalow and its location.

  • "Wow this Cottage is outstanding."

Very clean and modern. Lovely comfy beds with high quality bedding. Modern kitchen with up to date appliances. Lovely clean, bright modern bathrooms. Lovely well kept Garden with slick modern paving slabs with table and chairs to eat al fresco. The Cottage is well situated in the lovely village of Much Wenlock, a short cut through the footpath opposite and you are in the village, with shops, tea rooms and pubs. Lots to do in the area, Ironbridge, a lovely town, with The Woodbridge in the next village Coalport in a beautiful setting by the river. Walks a plenty in the stunning countryside. The Stipplestones, quite a climb but so worth it for the amazing views, that will remain with me forever. Please don’t hesitate to book The Wheatlands, you won’t be disappointed!

  • "A wonderful cottage furnished to a very high standard."

Much thought has been given to the layout of the property and indeed nothing has been overlooked. The beds were very comfortable and everything throughout the house was spotlessly clean. We have used Sykes on a number of occasions and the Wheatlands was by far the best. The property was well situated to visit the many places of interest in the area. Annie was very thoughtful as she contacted us on day of arrival to say that we could arrive earlier if we so wished. We would have no hesitation in recommending this cottage and understand why it attains to 5 star. Again, many thanks Annie for a wonderful holiday. Robert & Hilary

  • "Wow, what a fantastic cottage this is."

The cottage is extremley well appointed, with very modern kitchen and bathrooms. The bedrooms are very comfortable and the facilities required are all covered. Annie was brilliant with communication, from letting us know we could enter the cottage earlier on arrival day to helping us with recycling arrangements, to feedback when we left the cottage. The cottage is perfectly placed in Much Wenlock for access to everything that Shropshire and Much Wenlock have to offer and believe me, it has tons to offer in things to see and do. If you are looking for a top quality cottage to use as a base for your visit to Shropshire, then look no further. With all this cottage has to offer and with the helpfullness of Annie you cannot fail to have a great time and be able to do it living in complete comfort. We have visited Shropshire many times over the years, but without a doubt, this cottage was the best.

Thank you so much for your amazing feedback. So glad you enjoyed your stay. Can’t wait to welcome you back. Property Owner

The owner was very pleasant and went out of her way to make our stay comfortable. Definitely recommend the property although I wouldn’t recommend Sykes at all as we were completely ripped off by the renting of this! We were charged in excess of £300 during a telephone conversation with a bad signal and refused point blank to investigate this issue. One price on the internet and the other during the telephone conversation. Very spurious company of which myself and my family will no longer be dealing with.
