  • "This was a wonderful relaxing Christmas break."

The house was beautifully decorated for Christmas with treats on the table and even gifts under the tree from the hosts. Ruth was wonderfully kind and ensured everything was okay for us. The location was close to many pleasant places to visit. All in all it was simply great.

  • "The holiday cottage was probably one of the cleanest and most well equipped we have stayed in."

We were met by the owner, who had provided a welcome pack and homemade cakes, which was a thoughtful touch. She had even decorated for Easter. The beds were comfy and it was a real home from home. The property is well located, within walking distance to pubs and shops, lots of places to visit nearby, and we were able to go for some lovely walks into the countryside right from the house.

  • "The house was extremely clean and well equipped."

The owner met us with cakes and buns and had laid the table for afternoon tea, which at the end of a long journey was very welcome and very special. I think overall it's the best holiday cottage we've had. Also very well placed with shops nearby yet within easy reach of the countryside and places of interest.

  • "Located in the quaint village of Wombourne this location was ideal for us."

The house is perfect for families sleeping 5. Ruth and David were so welcoming and easy to talk to and so considerate of my personal needs. I appreciated the well equipped kitchen, the washer, the great central heating radiators which I used to dry my washing, a comfy lounge with decent sized tv, the file folders full of local information and resources and the freezer! Many self catering places do not have a freezer which I myself find almost essential. We cooked all our own meals. This house feels like home away from home and II would definitely come back and rent again.

  • "Very well-cared for and spacious cottage."

Everything was very clean and tidy and all equipment in good working order. The large garden was well maintained. The owners were there to welcome us and had gone to a lot of trouble to decorate the house for Christmas and to provide us with a delightful afternoon tea. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would be very happy to recommend this property to anyone else.

From the location and layout of home to friendly inclusive welcome where owners attention to detail was outstanding. A home-from-home truly comfortable and relaxing week. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

  • "We have stayed in this property for the last 4 or 5 years and will definitely return."

It's a lovely house; comfortable, clean and with a homely feel. The owners are always welcoming and even have home baking ready for when we arrive. I particularly appreciate this as I have Coeliac and am lactose intolerant so baking for me is not straightforward. The garden is well kept and having parking and free Wi-Fi is great.
