The property

No 8 is an elegant terrace cottage located in the trendy ‘Old Town’ region of the historic Stratford-Upon-Avon, very close to the river and theatres and the abundant restaurants.

Having been rebuilt from scratch last year 8 College Lane is a well-presented property fitted with modern furnishings and art , giving a relaxed yet high quality feel. If you want an outstanding base from which to explore Shakespeare's home town, and be just 400 yards from the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, then No 8 will suit you perfectly, whether a couples break or a small family trip.

The front door leads you straight into the stylish sitting area, set around the gas fire and Smart TV, there are lovely furnishings including a sea blue armchair and matching foot rest in the corner, just waiting for you to sink into it at the end of the day.

Further along into the dining area there is a dark wood table and chairs for everyone to sit around in the evening and a breakfast bar on the back of the counter overlooking the sleek kitchen.

Granite worktops with state of the art lighting and all appliances you'll need including a washer/dryer and dishwasher, with state of the art electric oven and induction hob.

Large patio doors open out to the patio and lawn area complete with table and chairs for you to enjoy a coffee outside first thing to start your holiday right.

Both bedrooms contain gorgeous high quality furnishings, with the twin room featuring a Juliet balcony with views down to the garden below and across to Shakespeares church while the king-size bedroom sits across the landing benefiting from an en-suite shower room.

Stratford's literary marvel has made this city a special place that so many want to visit year on year, and the two theatres feature high on many peoples’ agendas .

You can also visit the house that William himself was born in, as well as his daughter's house, and mother's house, with lots of interesting facts and information provided along the way giving a fantastic insight into Tudor times.

When you need a break from the 'Bard of Avon', why not try a Gin Cruise on the Avon hosted by the Shakespeare Distillery, a 50-minute boat ride down the Avon tasting craft gins, or partake in some of the great walks around the area including a beautiful walk around the river only steps from the front door.

This area of Warwickshire is not far from other outstanding attractions such as Warwick Castle or Broadway Tower and is a perfect base to explore the Cotswolds.
