  • "Lovely property in beautiful surroundings."

Owners Denise and John were very friendly and helpful. Loved watching the sunset in the garden meanwhile having their dogs Jess and Fan entertain us. The house was comfortable and had everything we needed. Highly recommend and hope to come back. Thank you to Denise and John for allowing us to share the property and enjoy a wonderful holiday.

  • "Highly recommended somewhere we would definitely go back to."

Denise and John were very welcoming as were Jess and Fan the two sheepdogs. The farmhouse was easily to find and in lovely setting over looking fields with shire horses and sheep. Ideal for visiting Birmingham and Stratford, would recommend visiting Hatton Locks cafe and Henley on Arden Ice Cream Parlour. Thank you once again Denise and John for lovely accommodation. • "Difficult to get to even following directions provided, due to road works in Hockley Heath."

Interesting quirky place with unique old features but modern facilities. Ideal for families due to being on a farm. And great for horse lovers. Dogs very friendly, owner is very amenable to keep her dogs away should you have a nervous dog. Thanks to Denise and John for the warm welcome, tea coffee milk wine dog treats all greatly appreciated. Kitchen well stocked. Clean, new bed linen and plenty of towels. Would just have liked more information on local area and a guest book to put a thank you in to Denise and John for sharing this unique place and say Good Luck in this new venture.

Thank you for your review and I will try and put together a list of local attractions and a guest book Property Owner

  • "What a perfect dog holiday retreat."

Easy to get to and yet it feels secluded. Bickerscourt Farm cottage is on top of a hill overlooking a fabulous view towards Tanworth-in-Arden. Denise made us feel very welcome (Denise and John own the property on the farm) I asked about the church spire on the opposite side of the valley - that is Tanworth, she explained, where there is the Bell Inn… In the beautiful afternoon sun we took the footpath down the hill, under the railway and up into the village for a reasonably well earned pint. The walk back seemed much quicker (just over 3 mile round trip) and we enjoyed a glass of Prosecco (part of the welcome pack which also included a box of chocolates) watching the Shires and Shetland pony munch grass as the sun went down. What a great way to unwind! The bathroom is a good size and very new and well appointed with a decent sized classy looking bath (with exposed feet) and a separate shower cubicle. Downstairs is cosy with a log burner in the living room and a good sized wall mounted TV. In the kitchen there are new cabinets, worktop and a good sized fridge freezer. The Aga under the huge brick range was thankfully turned off, but suspect that could give off a lot of heat on a cold winter evening! The well stocked log burner in the living room we hadn’t expected to use but an extra cold Saturday meant we got the living room toasty and watched a film. A great stay and we would recommend.

Thank you for your feedback, we enjoyed hosting you both and your lovely dogs, thanks Denise Property Owner
