"Great property with lovely views."
Great property and beds comfy. Kitchen well equipped and lots of space. Milk and tea and cake on arrival lovely touch. One sofa was very worn and needs replacing. Wanted to mention a potential problem with loads of ladybirds coming in through door worth looking at.
Thank you for your comments, we had not noticed a problem with the sofa but we have now purchased a new one. The ladybirds were just looking for somewhere to hibernate, and have not seen any. Property Owner
"Avon View is a lovely cottage and we enjoyed our stay."
It is furnished to a high standard, very clean, new and fresh. The balcony garden is sunny, tranquil and has a nice outlook. During our stay we took the car to explore the towns of Stratford on Avon and Warwick nearby. Welford itself is a pretty village. This is a cottage for a rural break, with lovely views, in a very peaceful setting. Thank you to our welcoming hosts.
"Really lovely stay."
We were made to feel very welcome. Owners were great and provided lots of loaves information. Very clean. Everything we needed. Free range eggs was a nice touch.
"A beautiful, well presented cottage - the perfect retreat for a chilled weekend away."
Breakfast out on the balcony with views of the orchard and the lovely chickens running around (don’t worry if you don’t like chickens, they aren’t able to wonder as far as the balcony)! Very comfortable beds, very clean and equipped with everything you need. Thank you Michael and Pamela for the fresh eggs, a lovely leaving gift for us all. Totally in love with Welford on Avon… and chickens!
O..oxatio .ow d . Accommodation and owners first rate. Cleanliness was excellent. Many thanks to Pamela and Michael. Owners
"Very clean and warm cottage with everything you need for a holiday."
Peaceful location with lots of attractions just a short drive away.
"We was welcomed with the most loveliest welcome Micheal and Pamela were just such lovely comforting people."
They let us no where to go for walks where everything was and told us about the area etc. our stay was delightful cosy just a all round wonderful stay. We shall return to such a beautiful cottage and place. The owners and there family were just wonderful such a delight . Thank you for there acts of kindness towards us all I really do recommend staying at the cottages
"Comfy beds and fab shower."
As you are rated 4* I was surprised by the lack of little extras such as tea, coffee, cooking oil etc, so be prepared if arriving - take everything you will need (I know there were some sachets on the window sill). Definitely a decent frying pan and spatula would be great. These comments are because we cook in all the time, there were 5 adults with healthy appetites and so it was a challenge. Some shelves in the bathrooms and bedrooms would be handy as there was no where to put anything. The tight parking should be highlighted as if we had arrived in a 4x4 it would have been extremely tricky. But overall, we had a great time and the Christmas tree was a nice touch. It was super warm, and we managed to cook in every evening. The TV is a challenge. The owners were helpful. The upside down layout gives amazing views and downstairs stays nice and cool and the blackout blinds means it is dark! There are some great walks nearby, but you can't stroll into town or to the pub. There is an excellent butcher in the village and a farm shop (by car) nearby for all your vegetables.
"Very well kept great for traveling around the Cotswolds,if someone could find tv ..."
Very well kept great for traveling around the Cotswolds,if someone could find tv instructions that would be great hope to go again next year
"It was a wonderful experience and would love to stay again"
"A beautiful house in a super location."
A very friendly welcome from the owners who live next door. Exceptionally clean with all you need for a great holiday stay with much to see in the area.
"Immaculately presented cottage, just as shown in the pictures."
Cottage was very comfortable and the bedrooms downstairs helped keep them cooler in hot summer weather and every room upstairs had fabulous views. Owners were friendly and helpful (though unobtrusive). Cottage is located for easy travel to attractions and surrounding areas.
"Beautiful property in a nice location."
Immaculately cleaned. Good sized living room and master bedroom. Well equipped kitchen. The twin bedrooms didn’t have any wardrobes- which is fine if visiting with children but would be an issue if more than 1 couple were staying. Located on a main road meaning you can’t really walk anywhere as there are no pavements. The views from the back are beautiful however you can’t go on the garden as this belongs to the owners. The cottage includes s small decking area, no garden. The pictures are a little deceiving. The owners live next door and have chickens and a cockerel. If you were staying in warm weather and you needed the windows open this would wake you up very early!
We are happy that you enjoyed staying in our 'Cottage in the countryside' situated on a by-road, away from main and busy roads, being in the countryside means there are no pavements, but there are plenty of off-road footpaths very close to us where we have seen an abundance of wildlife. The owners are very friendly to talk to and can tell you anything you need to know about the area. There is plenty of space for a family of 4, and 6 could also be comfortably accommodated. All the facilities that you need are there, including a dining table for 6 people.
"Lovely quiet property in a gorgeous setting anyone who enjoys walking and wildlife would enjoy a stay here."
The personal greeting from owners was nice and the welcome pack much appreciated. Really comfy beds and roomy bathrooms.
"Lovely property with nice helpful owners."
Bedrooms could do with a mirror but that is the only recommendation
