  • "Great property with lovely views."

Great property and beds comfy. Kitchen well equipped and lots of space. Milk and tea and cake on arrival lovely touch. One sofa was very worn and needs replacing. Wanted to mention a potential problem with loads of ladybirds coming in through door worth looking at.

Thank you for your comments, we had not noticed a problem with the sofa but we have now purchased a new one. The ladybirds were just looking for somewhere to hibernate, and have not seen any. Property Owner

  • "Avon View is a lovely cottage and we enjoyed our stay."

It is furnished to a high standard, very clean, new and fresh. The balcony garden is sunny, tranquil and has a nice outlook. During our stay we took the car to explore the towns of Stratford on Avon and Warwick nearby. Welford itself is a pretty village. This is a cottage for a rural break, with lovely views, in a very peaceful setting. Thank you to our welcoming hosts.

  • "A beautiful, well presented cottage - the perfect retreat for a chilled weekend away."

Breakfast out on the balcony with views of the orchard and the lovely chickens running around (don’t worry if you don’t like chickens, they aren’t able to wonder as far as the balcony)! Very comfortable beds, very clean and equipped with everything you need. Thank you Michael and Pamela for the fresh eggs, a lovely leaving gift for us all. Totally in love with Welford on Avon… and chickens!

  • "Comfy beds and fab shower."

As you are rated 4* I was surprised by the lack of little extras such as tea, coffee, cooking oil etc, so be prepared if arriving - take everything you will need (I know there were some sachets on the window sill). Definitely a decent frying pan and spatula would be great. These comments are because we cook in all the time, there were 5 adults with healthy appetites and so it was a challenge. Some shelves in the bathrooms and bedrooms would be handy as there was no where to put anything. The tight parking should be highlighted as if we had arrived in a 4x4 it would have been extremely tricky. But overall, we had a great time and the Christmas tree was a nice touch. It was super warm, and we managed to cook in every evening. The TV is a challenge. The owners were helpful. The upside down layout gives amazing views and downstairs stays nice and cool and the blackout blinds means it is dark! There are some great walks nearby, but you can't stroll into town or to the pub. There is an excellent butcher in the village and a farm shop (by car) nearby for all your vegetables.

  • "Immaculately presented cottage, just as shown in the pictures."

Cottage was very comfortable and the bedrooms downstairs helped keep them cooler in hot summer weather and every room upstairs had fabulous views. Owners were friendly and helpful (though unobtrusive). Cottage is located for easy travel to attractions and surrounding areas.

  • "Beautiful property in a nice location."

Immaculately cleaned. Good sized living room and master bedroom. Well equipped kitchen. The twin bedrooms didn’t have any wardrobes- which is fine if visiting with children but would be an issue if more than 1 couple were staying. Located on a main road meaning you can’t really walk anywhere as there are no pavements. The views from the back are beautiful however you can’t go on the garden as this belongs to the owners. The cottage includes s small decking area, no garden. The pictures are a little deceiving. The owners live next door and have chickens and a cockerel. If you were staying in warm weather and you needed the windows open this would wake you up very early!

We are happy that you enjoyed staying in our 'Cottage in the countryside' situated on a by-road, away from main and busy roads, being in the countryside means there are no pavements, but there are plenty of off-road footpaths very close to us where we have seen an abundance of wildlife.
