Everything you need is there. The village is lovely with a great local store, a lovely pub where you can get a very good chinese meal (or take-away). Berts Barn on a Friday for burgers is a MUST! Its an ideal base for visiting lots of lovely Cotswold villages and towns and I cannot recommend it highly enough. We will certainly be back. Thank you for a wonderful holiday.

  • "Very nice cottage, well maintained and perfect size for a couple wanting a break."

Cottage itself was very comfortable, clean and well equipped, with its own car parking spot at rear of property and easy to access. Is next on Main Street of the village, so plenty of activity outside, but not overly intrusive. Very nice area, lovely village and very good position for exploring. Definitely recommend

Happy with its condition, decoration and facilities. Ideally situated for many local walks along the various named paths to use. Neighbours and locals are very friendly and always good for a chat. The Peacock pub, and on-site Chinese kitchen, are a hub for the locals and they are a good crowd. Thanks again. David & Sue.

  • "Lovely cottage."

Would highly recommend. I did email owner at the end of our stay to advise of a couple of problems in the bathroom, with sink drain and toilet leaking water into base. But no one bothered to respond! I especially hope the toilet leak has been dealt with in the current drought situation.

Thanks so much for your helpful feedback, Allan and I'm sorry this feedback is so long after the event. Following some basic maintenance work after your stay all now appears in order. Thanks again for your timely message and I can only apologise that our acknowledgment was over-looked at the time. With best regards, Mark Allen - Bumble Cottage Property Owner

  • "Very nice and cosey cottage."

The carefully chosen decoration of the cottage feld very homely. Also the attentions and the personal touch was great. The only thing that was inconvenient was the location. A cottage at the mainstreet meant a lot of traffic. And with the supermarket at 25 meter also a lot of people passing by.

Enjoying a peaceful countryside setting with a plethora of scenic trails leading from the doorstep, Bumble Cottage makes an idyllic base for a rural retreat for two.

Park up at the rear of this lovely dwelling which has an allocated parking space for one car, before unloading your bags and stepping into your new home-from-home to begin your staycation.

Kick off your walking boots as you step into the handy hallway space and make your way through to the snug sitting room, thoughtfully laid out with a traditional décor of exposed wooden beams and a rustic woodburning stove, where you can look forward to enjoying a moment of peace in front of the Smart TV.

When stomachs start to rumble, discover the open-plan kitchen/diner tucked away at the rear of the cottage, flooded with light welcomed in through the elegant patio doors; here you'll find a fantastic selection of amenities to assist with your self-catering needs, including an electric oven and hob, while the nearby utility hosts a handy washing machine.

Uncork a bottle of wine and gather together with your better half at the dining table to indulge in a romantic meal for two, or venture outdoors and make mealtimes an alfresco affair with a seat on your private patio; a truly lovely spot to soak in the last of the evening sun with a crisp glass of wine.

As the evening grows darker, climb the stairs to the first floor to discover the well-presented double bedroom, benefiting from access to its own en-suite shower room, ideal for washing away the day or a quick morning rinse.

A short walk from your doorstep will bring you to the local pub, the Peacock Inn, where you can enjoy a crisp pint of ale, served in a traditional setting, and if you're peckish, they even serve Chinese food from the local takeaway direct to your table!

If you'd prefer to prepare an indulgent feast from the comfort of your holiday home, the village store is stocked with a range of essentials, or why not pack a picnic and hike the hill up to Tysoe Windmill for panoramic countryside views?

Tour the landscapes gardens of the nearby Upton House, an elegant stately home dating back to the 1930’s and preserved by the National Trust, or for a more thrilling experience, take a trip to Shenington Kart Racing Club.
