  • "We stayed in late September and would highly recommend The Office."

It is very well appointed and has everything you need for a holiday and more. It is in an ideal location, close to Witney which has plenty of places to eat and drink, and close to Oxford.

  • "'The Office' is the ideal location from which to visit both the Oxford area and the beautiful Cotswolds!"

It is the original Office of the busy working beef cattle farm, which is a family run business. We met the owner, Claire and her Dad who were both were very pleasant and welcoming. The accommodation has a mixture of the modern and traditional and was comfortable, clean and well equipped. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and hope to return.

  • "The accommodation was fine."

However we found the lady owner unfriendly and unhelpful. Shortly after arriving I left a message on her phone requesting some salt and paper and also some kitchen roll. The photographs on your website appear to show salt and pepper on the worktop and clearly show a roll of kitchen towel – neither were in the kitchen (there was an empty kitchen roll holder). I received a curt text back thanking me for the call but saying “we are self-catering” – end of message. The duvet in the bedroom was a heavy, winter 10.5 tog and there was no alternative blanket or throw to use instead. Two tablets of dishwasher detergent were left but no detergent for the washing machine. It would have been nice to have a container for the recyclables as well as a kitchen bin for rubbish. Most establishments also provide a small amount of oil and clingfilm – again nothing. Rather than a box of chocolates being left surely more than 4 individual teabags, 4 Nescafe sachets and 4 tiny rolls of sugar would be more useful and appreciated. It was friendly of Mr Buckingham Snr to say goodbye to us on the morning of our departure. My husband enjoyed his chat.

The Office is an amazing place to stay in and surrounded by amazing views, its cosy, peaceful and relaxing. We try to provide everything that is needed, but it is impossible to provide everything and meet every ones needs. We provide containers for recycling which is explained in the welcome manual, the kitchen bin is also provided. We do hope guests enjoy there stay here on our busy family farm. Property Owner

  • "One of the best Sykes cottages I have stayed in."

Delightfully located adjacent to an active, working cattle farm, yet minutes from villages with excellent bus links to Oxford city centre. A recent conversion from the registered office of the farm to a ‘holiday barn’ there is everything here I needed. Thoughtful touches like bath sheets (bigger than the usual towels), picnic tableware for outside, and a cool box for travels all appreciated. Lovely, crisp and modern inside, and no low beams to crouch below. Super!

  • "Excellent we will use again, great use of space feels a lot larger than it is, even a Red Kite sat on telegraph pole 20mts from the door, lovely rural location but only 20 minutes from Oxford."

  • "We loved staying at The Office."

Very comfortable, clean, beautifully appointed, everything you need, nice touch having milk and chocolates on arrival. We were pleasantly surprised at how much room there is. There’s even a place (wardrobe) to hang clothes in the eaves of the bedroom, very well thought out. I loved sitting at the breakfast bar in the early morning looking at the view from the kitchen window. Not far from Oxford, ideal place to visit many attractions, Cotswolds, Blenheim, Highclere. Also, the two villages/towns of Eynsham and Witney were excellent for shopping and not too far away. The owners are so friendly and helpful, when our car broke down they suggested we park it in their barn until it was picked up, very much appreciated, they also came to say goodbye on the day we left. The farm is a excellent place to stay, we would visit again.

He was also there on the day we left to see if everything had been ok and to wish us a safe journey home. The Office is very well equipped, and is in an area ideal for Oxford and surrounding area's like Hampton Court Palace & Blenheim Palace. Will stop again when we are in that part of the country

  • "The Office is a superb property."

It has been finished to a very high standard. Claire and her father are welcoming and helpful hosts. Located close to a working farm makes for an unusual experience. If you choose then you can be almost oblivious to the farm, however you can step outside The Office and see the cows and calves. The Office is well insulated so you are unaware of any farm noises. We had a lovely stay, we hope to return and we can strongly recommend it.

  • "The property is advertised as having king size beds which was definitely not the case."

The property isn’t sign posted with the same name as advertised which caused confusion on arrival. Otherwise our stay was pleasant and we would recommend the property to our friends and family. The local area is fantastic for walking and relaxing.

  • "The Office was everything we could ask for, situated in the middle of a working farm surrounded by countryside."

It was spotless and compact ,warm and easy to live in. If we could have wanted anything it would have been a chair that was easier for an older person to get up out of. What absolutely was the icing on the cake was the friendliness ,kindness and good humour of the wonderful farmers that work the land. They had so much chat and time for us. Thank you. We had a wonderful time visiting Oxford and towns around made so easy by the info they gave us to pick up the bus at Eynsham into Oxford.
