The property

Found on the high street, dating back to the 1500s, in the pleasant village of Dorchester-on-Thames is this traditional terraced cottage, Henrietta Cottage.

As you enter this stunning brick property, you'll be introduced to fantastic traditional features, including wooden beams, which add plenty of character to this family-friendly property.

The cottage offers a lovely reception room boasting dining seating for four, where you can unwind next to the woodburning stove as you relish in a cosy evening with friends.

Pop open a bottle of wine and enjoy a movie night in the sitting room, hosting two snug couches, a large TV and a fireplace surrounded by period decor and paintings.

Cook up a tasty meal for four in the quirky turquoise kitchen, fitted with all the amenities you may need and an added dishwasher to make washing up even easier.

After a jam-packed day savouring the Oxfordshire landscape, retire upstairs to one of the gorgeous double bedrooms, both with spacious high ceilings and wooden beams resting on the sloping eaves, one room even has a luxury en-suite bathroom where you can privately soak in a warm bubble bath.

There's a separate bathroom with a handy shower, over bath, ideal for a brisk morning shower to wake you up before a busy day.

There is a supermarket located less then a five-minute walk away, perfect for picking up items for a a home-cooked meal or grabbing snacks for a cosy film night.

A short walk down the road is a charming family run tea room where you can treat yourself to a classic, English afternoon tea featuring locally-made preserves as well as lovely vintage souvenirs.

Local historic attractions include Dorchester Abbey, Dorchester Village Hall, and the Aston Martin Heritage Trust museum.

If you're looking for a picturesque day out, Wittenham Clumps is a stunning nature reserve which can be seen on the well-known TV show, Midsomer Murders and is ideal for peaceful walks along the crisp hilltops and through the enchanted Little Wittenham Wood.

Enjoy a day out at the infamous Oxford University, visiting the legendary halls where you can explore areas where Harry Potter was filmed, and even the drinking hole of J R R Tolkien.

Not far is Ewelme Watercress Beds & Local Nature Reserve, a lovely scenic spot spanning over 6.5 acres, boasting a unique aquatic habitat and local wildlife.

Venture a short drive away to Chiltern Hills AONB, a stunning working area of countryside covered by picturesque farmland, private valleys and glistening streams.
