(Oonagh has provided full details, in the cottage information file, of walks from the door). We did not use our car at all during our 5 day stay over the Christmas period, but just enjoyed the walking and cosiness of the cottage. The well stocked village store was only a few doors down too. A great place for our small family Christmas in difficult times. Oonagh was a great host and nothing was too much trouble, though we did not need to ask her for much as everything you could need for cooking and hosting was provided. Including all the basic essentials for washing up/cooking/ seasoning/stroage. Everything was perfect, the fire easy to light and kept the chill off the downstairs (temperatures dipped to -3). The bathroom, with its deep relaxing bath, was a real treat for those of us who usally only have time to shower and the bottle of wine left by Oonagh, a welcome start to our stay, following a very stressful lead up to Christmas. We met Oonagh and Martin, as they live just up the road and clearly take great care to ensure all guests have the best stay possible without being intrusive. Thank you Oonagh for making us so welcome and thinking of everything.
