Starlight Cottage is a country bolt hole that you see in the movies, nestling in a small hamlet among unspoilt countryside.
A true gem, this sweet cottage has been completely renovated by the current owners, right down to digging the floor out to add toasty underfloor heating!
Inside it is light and welcoming, each room flooded with natural sunlight and furnished in a smart style.
The kitchen is top-notch and very well equipped and there is a cosy wood burning stove in the living room.
Upstairs is a good sized bedroom with king size bed and stylish bathroom.
There's a wonderful attention to detail throughout and we really enjoyed our visit here.
Pack your wellies so that you can explore the lovely countryside, in fact you can march across the fields to two terrific country pubs which both serve excellent food and a wide selection of local ales - The Lamb at Buckland and The Trout at Tadpole Bridge.
You can also follow the many footpaths to The Thames and admire the local lock.
A picture postcard location and proper cottage home.
It is only 5mins from the village of Bampton, used to film the village scenes of Downton Abbey.
