A beautiful detached Georgian cottage located in the heart of the Warwickshire village of Ettington, close to Stratford-upon-Avon.
The property is owned by professional artist Laurence Dingley, whose wonderful seascapes and landscapes adorn the walls in every room.
There are many other personal touches evident throughout the cottage which combines original features, such as exposed beams, fireplaces, wooden doors and exposed brick work with sumptuous contemporary furnishings.
The central hallway, with oak floor, leads to a useful ground floor shower room and a spacious, light and bright kitchen, complete with charming blue AGA, Belfast sink, beamed vaulted ceiling and a large farmhouse-style dining table that’s perfect for a catch up with friends over dinner or a family board game.
The kitchen also boasts a brick fireplace with an electric woodburner-effect stove.
The cosy sitting room has a wonderful fireplace which houses a warming woodburning stove, great for lighting on a chilly evening whilst watching a film.
A good sized utility room with a Belfast sink is off the kitchen providing space for walking gear, wellies and drying off dogs and children after a day out walking.
Make your way from the hall up the original wooden staircase to three well-presented first floor bedrooms and the main family bathroom with a bath and a chrome hand-held 'telephone-style' shower.
Outside is a large enclosed garden with patio, lawned area and garden furniture making it an ideal place to sit and relax with a good book or refreshing drink at any time of day.
The garden has direct access onto a footpath leading to several large open fields, perfect for dog walks, as well as a children's playground.
Take a short stroll to the village shop to pick up provisions or enjoy a meal at the local pub.
Many walks and cycle rides can be enjoyed from the village with Shakespeare's Way passing close by.
A short drive will take you to Stratford-upon-Avon, the birthplace of William Shakespeare, the pretty market town of Shipston-on-Stour, or a little further afield enjoy a day out at one of the many unspoilt Cotswolds villages, including Chipping Campden, Broadway and Bourton-on-the-Water.
