The property

Stable flat is a first-floor apartment situated above an original stable block within the owner's property, near the small village of Hartwell, south of Northamptonshire.

The stunning brickwork of this cottage gives off a country-style ambiance, and its location is peaceful and secluded, surrounded by gorgeous fields and accessed down a track through estate land.

The entire dwelling is extremely bright and airy with lots of windows allowing in plenty of natural light into every room; Stable Flat is the perfect base for a trip away with friends or family.

The entrance space contains the stables' original wooden staircase up to the first floor, make sure to be careful as the steps are quite narrow.

Get cosy by the woodburning stove in the sitting room, which features charming original wooden flooring, sharing stories over hot chocolates and snacks whilst the TV plays a film in the background, or take a nap on the sofa mid-way through your busy action-packed day.

The kitchen/diner is beautifully decorated with masonic tiled flooring and a classic timber dining table, stocked with plenty of kitchen amenities for a self-catered stay, which include a dishwasher and a washing machine.

Get ready for bed and rest your eyes in one of the three spacious bedrooms, which include a super king-size, a king-size and a double with a convenient en-suite shower room, all of these contain airy windows with views of the surrounding countryside.

Sink into a hot bubble bath, or choose to take a stimulating morning shower in the lovely bathroom, fitted with a quirky hand basin, there's also a cloakroom to use if you need.

Listen to the birds tweeting as you step out to the serene enclosed garden space, looking out on the traditional brickwork buildings and the countryside far-reaching countryside.

Salcey Forest lies adjacent to the property, a spectacular area of woodland stretching for miles with ancient woodbanks, trees and old building remains, there's also lots of walking and cycling trails, a play area, and a cafe.

Stroll down the country lane to the centre of Hartwell where you can find a convenience shop within the post office and the Rose & Crown pub.

The lively town of Northampton is just eight miles away, with an array of architecture, parks and activities to explore, including the Pinnacle Climbing Centre, Abington Park Museum and 78 Derngate: The Charles Rennie Mackintosh House.

Northamptonshire is brimming with exciting attractions, including Wicksteed Park amusement park and Rockingham Castle, Canons Ashby, Cottesbrooke Gardens and Triangular Lodge.
