  • "It would have been helpful to have some information in the cottage about how appliances worked, which bin to put our rubbish in & whether there were recycling facilities, day that bins are put out for collection etc."

I appreciate with Covid rules it is more difficult to leave information in properties but if the information was laminated & cleanable it should be possible.

  • "We had an amazing time at The Gables!"

The cottage is traditional and completely gorgeous with a new bathroom suite and kitchen. The fireplace in the lounge is huge and very cosy and the garden is a great size. The Chequers pub which is a 5 minute walk away is fantastic so we returned a few times. Overall, a brilliant Airbnb and we can’t wait to come back.

  • "Beautiful, large cottage in wonderful Cotswolds village."

Spotlessly clean and lots of amenities. Good for children with built in stair gates and high chairs, etc. Check in of 4pm is quite late though and there was no flexibility when we stayed. Otherwise would highly recommend.

  • "A gorgeous little country cottage in the heart of the beautiful Cotswolds."

Churchill is a beautiful village with an amazing pub that you must visit. There are some great walks and I would recommend taking a stroll over to the village of Kingham too. The owners really have thought of everything and the only downside will be when you have to leave!

  • "The cottage was fabulous - exactly what I and my friends were looking for in relaxing weekend off work."

So many places in the area to walk and explore, followed by evenings in front of the log burner. We could not have asked for more.

  • "We had a girls weekend here to celebrate a 32nd birthday."

Was the perfect place for us to completely switch off and relax whilst enjoying a break from busy lives in London. The property felt very homely and lived in, it was welcoming and cosy but still plenty of space for the 5 of us who stayed for a long weekend. The area is very peaceful and quiet which is just what we wanted! We had everything that was needed and the property managers are on hand if you need anything. Lovely, lovely experience and time, would not hesitate to go back again at any time.

  • "We loved the Gables Cottage!"

Loved the staying in a very well preserved cottage with unique features (spiral staircase, wood beams, beautiful floors). The garden area is lovely - we did have a bit of rain so did not enjoy it as much as we would have liked, but did spend our first evening out there. Appreciated the cleanliness of the cottage and the delicious chocolate cake that was left for us.

  • "A beautiful cottage set in one of the prettiest villages in the Cotswolds!"

Everything we needed and more. Thank you.

    LaraFeb 2018

  • "Beautiful and cute cottage."

The whole family loved the cottage. It had everything we needed, was very comfortable and cosy. We had a perfect, relaxing family weekend and were sad when it was time to go home. The local pub was lovely and we all agreed that the food and service there was great. The Sunday Roast is a must try. We will definitely be back to stay again and have recommended to our friends.

  • "Had a lovely family weekend to attend a wedding at nearby Merriscourt."

My grandson loved all the toys, especially the ride on car and tractor he was able to use outside. We had a family brunch gathering prior to the wedding when 6 other family members joined us, and the weather was good enough to sit outside in a sun trap at the side of the garden. A wonderful family weekend.

  • "Gables Cottage is the perfect place to stay for a relaxing break in the Cotswolds."

The village of Churchill is beautiful with a fantastic pub and lots of beautiful walks. The cottage itself is comfy and cosy with real character from the gorgeous exposed beams, wooden floor boards and the amazing fire place in the living room. The hosts had thought of everything, there's a great file which highlights activities near to the cottage and slightly further afield. They had also left a rather yummy cake for us on arrival. The garden is also great with a BBQ and a selection of toys for little ones which went down very well!! Overall I couldn't recommend Gables Cottage enough and I will definitely be back. Sophie

  • "Lovely and Cosy cottage, perfect for group of friends or family."

So easy to book. Very impressed.

  • "Accommodation excellent, cosy and very clean and comfortable."

Small gripe - the slow internet download speed meant I was unable to download my digital copy of the Telegraph each morning, which I missed! However, I am aware the internet speeds in some country areas can be quite slow and this is probably an issue for BT to sort but the owner may wish to be aware. Andrew Tranham
