The cottage was superb, the location was wonderful and the property was appointed to a very high standard both inside and with a lovely secluded patio are outside. The fridge was stocked with milk, fruit juice, some spritzer and some (Hook Norton) beer, and a bag with a few other goodies was provided. Sonya came round to check that we were settled in OK soon after we arrived, and gave us a lot of good local info. Will definitely want to stay again.

my partner whom is disabled needs to use a mobility scooter to get about unaided, a suitable electrical outlet and space within a covered area, such as the bicycle shed could be adapted and utilised, this could also serve for guests who bring their electric bicycles too. Our hosts, Sonya and Dean were very helpful and friendly, communication on any queries were answered and dealt with promptly. We had a most enjoyable stay (even though the weather wasn't kind)

“Situated in a beautiful part of England is a truly stunning property.”

The owners have worked very hard in providing a real 'get away from it all' property, If you are looking to be out of the way from the hustle and bustle then look no further in staying here. Very comfortable bed, plenty of storage space, kitchen (fully equipped with everything you could possibly need) , dining and living area which has double glazed windows and doors that give amazing views to the local wildlife, we spotted rabbits, hares playing in the evening sunshine, 3 green woodpeckers to name just a few. The bathroom has a large shower wet room with plenty of hot water on demand and touches like the heated towel rail was a lovely touch. The large welcome pack was much appreciated showcasing the delicious local treats. good strong Wi-Fi if you are looking for this along with large smart TV in the living area and lovely smaller tv in the bedroom. Neat, tidy, uncluttered and perfect, finally, the well is one of the most unique things we have ever seen, thank you so much Sonya & Dean - Andrew & Mikayla

Hook Norton village is close by, there is a petrol station, pubs with food and a village shop. We would not hesitate to recommend Hook Norton Barn to family or friends.

The barn was in an ideal location for where we wanted to visit, Bletchley Park, Blenheim palace and biscester shopping outlet. There are so many lovely local pubs close by, all serving very good food and the local brewery with its museum and visitor centre are also worth a visit.

We were welcomed by our host Sonya on arrival with a lovely goodie bag. Everything we needed was provided including games and dvds for a rainy day. Property was spotlessly clean and very comfortable and we soon felt at home. View was great and we were visited by a deer and her fawn. We had great meals at The Fox,The Norman Knight, Hook Norton Brewery and The Gate Hangs High which is a 5 minute walk away. Blenheim Palace was amazing especially the gardens but be prepared to walk for miles if you want to see all the grounds. Also worth a visit is Batsford Arboretum and Falconry where you can get to hold an owl. All told a great holiday with exceptional accommodation. Carl & Linda

The owners have spared no expense in furnishing to a very high standard (most items bought new). The welcome pack was useful and started the holiday for us from the word go. “We have just spent a week at Hook Norton Barn, which is situated in a very quiet rural location, just a mile outside the village of Hook Norton.”

We arrived to be greeted by Sonya, the owner, who showed us around and left us with a rather nice ‘welcome pack’ of goodies, some of which were cooling in the fridge! The barn conversion, which was only completed a few months ago, is superbly done, a lot of thought has gone into the conversion and furnishing. It really is a quality property and had everything we needed, in a really nice rural location, ideally situated for exploring the area. Hooks Barn was perfect for the two of us to visit numerous places within easy reach, then return and just chill out and sit on the patio with the birds singing away. The property is so comfortable we immediately felt ‘at home’ so we tended to eat out during the day and just relax in the evening and enjoy the peace and quiet, simply brilliant!

Moreton-in-Marsh, Stow-on-the-Wold and Bourton-on-the-Water are all close by, or enjoy day trips to the riverside town of Banbury, Blenheim Palace or Oxford, the university city of dreaming spires.

The birthplace of William Shakespeare, Stratford-upon-Avon, and Warwick with its magnificent castle, also make for great days out.

Chipping Norton 5 miles; Stratford-upon-Avon 22 miles; Oxford 25 miles.

A picturesque village with many honey-coloured historic buildings, thatched cottages, a thriving community and its very own steam driven brewery, the last of its kind in the country. The village boasts a well-stocked shop, Post Office, several pubs and restaurants and many lovely walks can be enjoyed from the village with the D'Arcy Dalton Way passing through the village. The market town of Chipping Norton lies south of the village in the Cotswold Hills, plays host to many festivals throughout the year, has an abundance of shops, cafes and restaurants as well as a theatre and the oldest golf course in Oxfordshire.
