  • "Lovely property, friendly hosts."

    Peaceful and quiet.

  • "We had the most amazing stay at The Wash House, The cottage was spotlessly clean, well euipped, and the underfloor heating kept the cottage toasty warm."

The hosts, Helen and Adrian, gave us a warm welcome, and Helen's advice on viewing the wildlife was most informative and helpful. As a result, we saw the Barn Owls and the Little Owl, which was so special. On other occassions, we saw Kites, Buzzards, Muntjac and Roe Deer. The cottage is idealy situated for visiting numerous National Trust Properties, as well as all the usual tourist places in the Cotswolds. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Wash House, and we look forward to a 2nd holiday there in the not too distant future.

The owners are delightful and thoughtful and, although the weather was bitterly cold, the underfloor heating gave this cosy little property enough heat to be very comfortable indeed. Thank you! Bruce & Christine

A nice welcome, also a gift very nice. The cottage was very comfortable, cosy, clean, and the owners made sure we had everything we wanted and if we were warm enough. Would have liked to stay in the summer when the weather was warmer but we cannot change that. Altogether it was a very nice place to stay.

We met both Helen and Adrain, who were very friendly. They live at the rear of The Wash House, but you are not disturbed at all and rarely see them. Helen makes a delicious sponge cake. The property is well furnished with a comfortable bed and sofa. You have everything to make your holiday a home from home experience. The views are just fabulous and we would never tire of them. It was lovely to get back late afternoon and sit on the patio, listening to only bird song and looking at the view. Plenty of places to visit within an hour from the cottage. We would love to return again, as we never got to complete our list. Great walks from the door too, around the villages. With pubs in both.

  • "We had a wonderful time at The Wash House."

It was ideal for the two of us and our hobby of Geocaching. The cottage is at the end of a long track and really is quite isolated. This suited us down to the ground. The cottage was cosy, clean, comfortable and very warm with the underfloor heating, so we did not need to use the wood burner. It had everything we needed for a week's holiday. The owner came to check that everything was in order. We thanked him for the excellent Victoria sponge that he had made for us. We had a chat about the state of farming, the history of the building and this and that, then he left us to it! The view from the kitchen/diner window was excellent. We saw kites, buzzards, flocks of fieldfares and redwing and many other birds. We saw a muntjac deer, and the squirrels and blackbirds were outside on the gravel each and every day. The Wi-Fi was fast and reliable and the bed was huge and very comfortable. The shower worked well and there was plenty of hot water. I must mention the dark sky. If it is a clear night and you like star gazing, this is the place for you. Sunsets were also colourful. We would not hesitate to recommend this little gem!

We eventually found it after our sat nav told us to turn left too early! Up a very long drive (just keep going) but the views from the property are spectacular, especially the sunsets. The property has every conceivable item in the kitchen and it’s really cozy if you light the small log burner which we did on 2 occasions. The large bedroom has a king sized bed (2x3foot mattresses) and plenty of wardrobe space. The bathroom has a large shower and has underfloor heating. The property was immaculately clean and the Victoria sponge made by Adrian was superb. Met Helen his wife later in the week and she kindly showed us round her pottery workshop. They are a lovely friendly couple and made us feel very welcome and we can most certainly recommend this property to anyone wishing for some peace & quiet.
