  • "Fantastic property, in excellent condition and with beautiful grounds."

We had a wonderful stay, and really appreciated all the little touches such as the food that was awaiting our arrival, the early availability of check-in and the children’s cots and highchairs. The stair gates were also a very welcome addition, which we were grateful to have!

  • "We had another wonderful stay at Morgans Farmhouse."

The property is very well equipped and the cleanliness of the property is exceptional. The farmhouse is very much a home from home for us. The games room is excellent and we enjoyed quite a few hours in there. The grounds are very well kept and a haven for wildlife. All in all, Morgans Farmhouse is a fabulous place to unwind and relax. We have already made a booking for 2024!

  • "Morgans Farmhouse was immaculately presented, beautifully maintained and equipped to the highest standard."

The owners had thought of everything. the drawers and cupboards were full of plates, glasses, cutlery and pans. We were a party of thirteen and took full advantage of the outdoor space - the barbecue and wonderful patio area. The children loved the slide and climbing frame. It was the perfect location for our family get together, close to Blenheim and the lovely Cotswolds towns. We would certain consider returning and would thoroughly recommend this property. Morgans Farmhouse sets a very high standard.

Thank you for this wonderful review which is much appreciated. We're so glad that you all enjoyed your stay at Morgans Farmhouse and loved the location too. We hope to welcome you again. Best wishes Manor Colttages Property Owner

  • "Morgans Farmhouse is a really exceptional property which the photos simply do not do justice to."

It is incredibly spacious and can easily accommodate large groups - our group comprised 7 adults and 4 very young children, and there was room to spare. From a family-friendliness perspective this property is amazing. Stair-gates are permanently attached to every staircase, and there is a wonderful slide and swing set in the garden. The pond presents a hazard, but it is fenced and isn't a problem if children are watched carefully. For older children, there is a super games room - as the children in our group are 3, 3, 2 and 0 sadly it was a little too early for them to enjoy! I couldn't recommend this property more and it is one of the few holiday rentals we have been to that we would consider booking again.

Thank you so much for providing us with such lovely feedback on your stay at Morgans Farmhouse. We are so glad to hear that you and your party enjoyed your time away, and took advantage of this beautiful property. We hope to welcome you again one day in the future and thank you once again for providing us with such lovely feedback. Best wishes, Manor Cottages. Property Owner

  • "Superb property and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay."

A couple of minor points: there was a small amount of water that came through the ceiling above the dining room table when someone was having a shower in the bedroom immediately above it. We would have found a basic set of weighing scales very useful in the kitchen. We enjoy cooking and really made use of the wonderful kitchen, so appreciate this is a very small point indeed. All in all, we had the most wonderful stay and enjoyed precious family time and celebrating together.

Thank you for bringing the shower problem to our attention. The owner is now aware of it, and a plumber is in the process of rectifying. We are so pleased that you enjoyed the property and your family stay. We hope to welcome you back again in the future. Best wishes Manor Cottages Property Owner

  • "An absolutely fabulous property."

There was everything that you could require and more. The property was exceptionally clean. The games room was an added bonus for all of our family of 6 adults, 2 teenagers and 2 children under the age of 3. The added touch of the Christmas tree and decorations really made our celebrations complete. We will certainly be staying at Morgan's Farmhouse again and would like to thank all of the team involved in providing such a special property.

I agree the photos don't do it justice. You are spoilt for the lounge areas to sit. The bedrooms are very spacious with generous ensuites, plus a super bathroom. The kitchen diner is every house wife's dream with an abundance of crockery, cutlery and kitchen utensils. We were here for a special birthday and no one wanted to leave. Superb! Thank you

It's way better! From the beautiful view across fields of running horses and sheep from the amazing verandah, the swooping driveway, huge gardens with kids facilities, 4 lounges and the gorgeous bedrooms, fully equipped kitchen, all the way to the extra finishing touches such as welcome baskets, umbrellas at the door, games room, everything new and clean. Highly recommend. It surpassed all our expectations and made our stay truly memorable. Thank you.

It would be amazing but it is a really special place already. Loved our time there. Very clean , great place to relax and get away from it all. Would love to know if the pizza oven is going to be working for next time as it looks newly installed.

Thank you for providing us with this feedback. We are glad you enjoyed your stay at Morgans Farmhouse. The pizza oven is an original feature of the house and unfortunately is only for decorative purposes. Thank you for your suggestions on what could be added on to the outside space to make full use of the lovely garden. We hope to welcome you back soon. Kind Regards, Barley Park Cottages. • "The house and gardens were amazing had a lovely stay, we all had a lovely time, only issue for us was that I did ask if the garden was all fenced of as we was taking our dog, and not all of the garden is fenced off, and small dogs can get under fencing into pond, so she did escape a few times which was a bit worrying for us."

But apart from that we had a lovely time, and one very tired little dog from enjoying the garden so much

Thank you for providing us with this feedback. Apologies about the misunderstanding with the garden, we will make sure to update our information so that future guests know whilst the garden is fenced, it is not fully enclosed. We are also looking into completely enclosing the garden in the future. Kind Regards, Barley Park Cottages. Property Owner

  • "Really recommend this comfortable, spacious property."

It was ideal for our 3-generation family gathering. Particularly well equipped for young children, with not just cots and high chairs but infant sized cutlery, dishes, stair gates and a fire guard too. The provision of an additional full-size cot was much appreciated. As was the prompt repair when we reported the leaking bath outlet pipe. A previous reviewer mentioned problems with the smoke alarm, but we didn't have any. They also mentioned the need for a non-stick frying pan. There was one, but unfortunately it didn't work on the induction hob. The welcome pack was an unexpected surprise. Perhaps a more detailed inventory of what is available/provided would be useful in advance. And a warning that if you want to use the oven in the electric range you need to allow a long time for it to heat up (obvious really, but we were having too much fun to spend a long time reading the instruction manual).

Thank you for taking your time to provide us with this feedback. We are so glad to hear you enjoyed your stay at Morgans Farmhouse & how well equipped we are for the whole family. We hope you plan on staying with us again in the future! Kind Regards, Barley Park Cottages. Property Owner

  • "The farmhouse was absolutely perfect for our stay and everyone had a great time."

There was a problem with the heating in the annexe which the owners responded to extremely quickly. A couple of points; 1) There really should have been a coffee machine in the kitchen, (we brought our own!) 2) You really should provide a non-stick frying pan as it was practically impossible to fry eggs 3) The smoke alarm in the kitchen is soooooo sensitive - goes off even when you make toast!

Thank you for taking time to provide us with this feedback. We have since added a coffee machine & non-stick frying pan to the property. We will look into the smoke detector and see if anything can be done whilst keeping our guests safety a top priority & meeting health and safety standards. We hope you plan on staying with us again in the future. Kind Regards, Barley Park Cottages. Property Owner

About the location

BAMPTON, OXFORDSHIRE

Witney 4 miles; Burford 8 miles and Oxford 19 miles.

The thriving village of Bampton lies in the Thames Valley in the southern Cotswolds, amidst beautiful Oxfordshire countryside. Bampton is one of the oldest villages in England boasting a village shop, Post Office, butcher, and traditional pubs serving good food and real ales, all set around a pretty market square a hundred yards from the cottage. Ancient customs can still be experienced with the regular morris dancing festivities, which have been enjoyed for over 600 years. Just four miles away is the riverside town of Witney, which offers many attractions including a weekly market dating back to the Middle Ages, an 18th century town hall, and Wychwood Brewery. Burford is possibly one of the most famous of the Cotswolds' locations. With its medieval bridge, old stone houses and attractive Tudor and Georgian frontages, Burford is justifiably one of the most picturesque towns in England. Often referred to as the 'Gateway to the Cotswolds', the town was originally a fortified Anglo-Saxon ford to be an important regional crossroads and wealthy wool town. With little changing over the centuries. Burford is now very popular with visitors, both for its beauty and history but also for it's shopping and antiques, and for the wide variety of places to eat, with restaurants, pubs and teashops. Oxford, the oldest university city in England, boasts interesting Botanical Gardens, museums and libraries, and plays host to many festivals and markets throughout the year. Enjoy a punt on the River Thames or take a boat trip on the River Cherwell. The ancestral home of Winston Churchill and the World Heritage Site of Blenheim Palace is just a short drive away, where many lovely walks can be enjoyed around the landscaped parkland. With so much nearby, Bampton provides a wonderful holiday destination.
