    The cottage is in a lovely rural location with a lot of quiet but sometimes narrow roads and central for exploring Ludlow, Bridgnorth, Bewdley and the Wyre Forest which were about 20-30mins drive away.

    The owners are close by and are lovely people. Will go out of their way to welcome their guests and make sure you have all you need to ensure a warm and peaceful break. Lots of interesting towns and villages within a half hour drive through stunning country roads The cottage has a downstairs bedroom as well as a large upstairs bedroom and are provided with top class linen and towels. Pristine kitchen and appliances and great wifi connection. Sitting on the patio watching the abundance of wildlife is so peaceful. We had a brilliant stay and can well recommend.

    The hosts were most helpful, before our arrival, and with any questions thereafter. Lots of really country walks that kept the dogs more than happy. Easy driving distance to,Ludlow, Bridgenorth, and Bewdley all of which were worth visiting. Re the cottage, have a word about timing of the heating when you arrive and it will be set up for you.

Butterfly Cottage is a charming cottage outside the village of Stottesdon, nestled in the tranquil south Shropshire countryside, it is set within three and a half acres of the owners’ idyllic grounds where you can explore a stunning paddock, wildflower meadow and relaxing gardens.

Enter from the extensive grounds and into your own private haven, where a raised front patio displays welcoming outdoor seating for your group of four to sit out on a warm summer's day and enjoy your tranquil surroundings, also on clear nights, due to its rural location, you can enjoy the spectacle of star filled skies, whilst listening to the owls and watching the bats.

Winter months can be enjoyed from the cosy sitting room with a cup of hot chocolate as the TV entertains you for the evening; alternatively, spend an afternoon in the homely snug room whilst you lose yourself in a captivating book.

Meals can be enjoyed from the stylish kitchen/diner, equipped with all the amenities needed for a self-catered stay, as well as a formal dining table for memorable dinner parties over a bottle of wine.

The ground floor is also home to a ground-floor twin, whilst the first floor holds a king-size bed, both benefiting from ample storage.

The pretty little town of Cleobury Mortimer is situated in the rural heart of South Shropshire. The town offers a refreshing selection of individual shops, pubs and restaurants, but is most famous for its unique church, which has a peculiar crooked steeple. The historic market towns of Bridgnorth and Ludlow (with its superb castle) and the famous World Heritage Site of Ironbridge are all within easy reach. There is excellent walking locally in the Clee Hills and the Wyre Forest, and horseriding, golf and fishing are available close by.
