  • "We had a lovely stay at Glebe Barn."

The barn is beautiful inside and felt really homely and cosy. The property owners had good attention to detail and provided us with things like hand soap and washing up liquid and a lovely basket of goodies which was much appreciated. I would definitely recommend to others.

  • "Globe barn is absolutely stunning!"

It’s been decorated to a very high standard with beautiful oak beams and tasteful furnishings and has everything you need. Kitchen fully equipped, loads of cutlery, crockery, pots pans, even tea, coffee sugar etc and good quality too. The showers are powerful and always hot, log burner, Sky TV, loads of space downstairs for relaxing. Main bedroom has en-suite and is just beautiful. Views out to the fields are amazing we saw lots of pheasants and rabbits. Upon arrival we were so impressed the barn looks even better than in the pictures. Bottle of wine, chocolates, biscuits and milk on arrival. Extremely clean. Highly recommend. Thanks to the owners who once we had the key left us to enjoy our stay which we definitely did.

Good quality and home from home. I would highly recommend this property. The owner should be very proud of the quality and their hospitality.

  • "Unfortunately this was a working holiday and we all had to remotely connect to the office and schools."

However, we could not have asked for better facilities or a cosier place to stay. The log fire and views kept us warm and content during the downtime and the the owner was very helpful with log supplies and making us welcome. To spend some quiet time or explore the countryside walks, this is a great choice. Very convenient for Bridgnorth, bit further to Bewdley but both great locations for exploring, shopping or dining.

  • "There was a lot of (non perishable) food left in the cupboards, biscuits, cereal etc."

Beds in the second bedroom of rather poor quality. Couldn't get the large oven to work but the small oven was OK for our needs. Some of the tourist leaflets were 10 years old. Freezer door could not be shut properly which lead to a lot of icing up which made shutting the door almost impossible. Shower in the en-suit nearly knocked you off your feet, brilliant!!! Unfortunately the owner was not around when we left to report the above.

  • "Glebe Barn is a very clean, comfortable, cosy, welcoming property."

Very spacious sitting room, dining room and kitchen. The main bedroom is very large and the kingsize bed is extremely comfy. The ensuite is a very good size with a power shower. The family bathroom is also a very good size. The large entrance/hallway is light and airy and inviting. The grounds are superb and having access to the paddock, stream and woodland made our daily walks enjoyable. The owners are very friendly and did not intrude. The only fly in the ointment is the property is close to the A448 and some traffic noise is to be expected.

  • "Just Perfect!"

We were so pleased with our accommodation. Weather wasn't brilliant during our stay :( but the barn was soooo comfortable id didn't really matter. I had my 88 year old mother in law with us and the downstairs loo was fabulous for that. She managed the stairs no problem - 4 steps with double bannisters, then 7 steps where she could hold a "beam". The welcome pak was VERY generous and well appreciated. We did not meet Shirley but Bob was fantastic! So friendly and helpful. We had lovely walks with our dog at the end of the property through the "bluebell" woods. Very nice indeed. We would have loved to have taken Bob with us to Arley Arboretum but covid restrictions prevented this. We rent a self cottage/barn every year with mum in law and this was among the best. We would heartily recommend. The bird song was jusy lovely. A really refreshing break. Thank you very mcuh!

  • "A group of four women stayed for a week in March 2019, and thoroughly enjoyed our accommodations and surrounds."

The minor issues we had were quickly addressed by the owner, who called on the kind and efficient Ian next door to straighten things out (we couldn't figure out how to run the dishwasher, and needed a USB plug to charge our phones.) The kitchen was amazing, and i love to cook and cooked in the whole week. The AGA stove was glorious, keeping the chill off and providing an instantly hot oven at any moment. The gathering spaces were spacious, cozy, and inviting. My bedroom upstairs was spectacular with an ensuite bath. The other two rooms were quite small, but tidy, and shared a hall bath. The hardest part for us was finding the place, but as soon as we plugged into GPS it took us right there. The property is set inside a farm with horse pastures, lovely to look out at the wildlife. There are other very quiet tenants behind the barn conversion, but you'd really never know they were there. It's on a busy street, but the house is set back enough the noise never bothered us. Overall, it's a superb place to get away, with plenty to see within a short drive. Thanks Shirley!

Kitchen and Living area is large and inviting so anyone cooking or preparing food would enjoy conversation with other guests. There is sufficient parking but that lack of enclosed space might be an issue for some. The main road outside makes itself felt so absolute peace and quiet is not really available. One of my guests found the beds in small bedrooms hard and rather small..Guess they were for little people really but adults hmmm. Plenty walking nearby paths and farm land area. All in all though a fine stay

  • "The cottage is gorgeous, we had a wonderful time."

Just a few issues with dusting etc, lots of cobwebs and dust around but you could see that the owners had left a note for the cleaners about complaints. The cottage is next to a busy main road so you do hear quite a bit of road noise, particularly in the master bedroom. The house is very wells stocked, with all the pots and pans you could need and even some miniature toiletries. Lovely to come back and find kindling on the door step and a nice amount of wood provided as it was really cold when we stayed. Probably the nicest cottage we have stayed in. Lovely open plan layout and the master bedroom was really well done.

I would recommend this location to anyone who is looking for a relaxing time with all the facilities you could wish for. Shops only 5 minute drive down the road making it so convenient. Only thing I would mention is that the dusting in the cottage needs to be more thorough. There were a few cobwebs about and under the bed and book shelves it was very dusty. This is not the Hosts responsibility but Sykes cleaners who need to ensure that the property is cleaned top to bottom.
