We had a fab week visiting the surrounding area. Great base for West Midland Safari Park, Telford Town Park, Bridgnorth, Drayton Manor, Warwick castle. The lodge is on a site with no facilities which we liked. It was quiet and relaxing. It meant we had to drive to find any sort of entertainment as there isn’t a park or anything in walking distance. This was fine for us. The lodge itself is spacious. Had everything we needed and was clean. The addition of a hot tub is lovely. The showers were lovely and powerful. Lots of space to hang clothes. We just encountered a couple of issues. We visited in mid July during a heatwave and it was super hot. We enquired if they had a fan before we went knowing it was going to be warm weather and they did provide one. We took one ourselves so that was two bedrooms covered. This certainly helped and we appreciated it. The other problem was the beds. My husband and I could not get comfortable. We tried every bed. I have a chronic back problem already and it was made worse. My husband doesn’t have a back problem and he did over the holiday. The children slept fine though. This is just personal preference. I never read that anyone else had a problem. Overall an enjoyable stay.
