It was a wonderfully presented cottage and the owners had gone the extra mile to make your stay memorable. Comfy beds and furniture and the added bonus of a sun room room was great. Great location for exploring. Thank you Ian and Lorraine for a wonderful stay.

"The cottage is fantastic as long as your not interested in using the wifi and having reliable or fast internet."
Otherwise it is a lovely cottage, well stocked, well presented and the best actual cottage we have stayed in. The owners are nice, on site and extremely helpful and full of advise for the area. There is even a private garden area and the conservatory was lovely to sit in on rest days.
Dear Guests, we were very pleased to read your comments regarding your stay at Cream Door Cottage - particularly ".....the best actual cottage we have stayed in". WOW. Wi-fi is provided. Unfortunately, we have no fibre cabling in the area and all electricity/broadband lines run above ground, over open fields, which can result in lower speeds than we would like. A situation over which we have no control! But again thank you for your lovely comments. Lorraine and Ian P Property Owner
"This is a really beautiful cottage which is well equipped and very comfortable."

We all enjoyed our stay. Lots of places around and also, if needed, lots of things in the cottage supplied to keep individuals amused - if a really rainy day. i.e. puzzles, games, books, etc.
Thank you so much for leaving such a kind and positive review of our cottage. We were delighted to read of your stay but thank you too for leaving Cream Door Cottage in such a pristine condition at the end of your stay. Lorraine and Ian P Property Owner

"A delightful, comfortable and cosy cottage."
An excellent base for exploring a lovely area. We were given a very warm welcome by the owners. It was extremely well equipped and there was an excellent file full of useful information and a large amount of tourist brochures. It was home from home and I would thoroughly recommend this cottage
Thank you for taking the time to leave such a warm and kind review. We are always so pleased to learn that our guests have enjoyed their stay in Cream Door Cottage. Thank you for any recommendations. Lorraine and Ian P Property Owner
"Cream Door cottage was a dream find, very spacious for 4, immaculate and very well equipped."
There is a large outdoor seating area and easy parking at the front door. The owners live on site and are friendly and helpful. There are a large number of interesting places to visit within a short drive, and a number of pubs also only minutes away. The only drawback, and it's out of the owners control, is that the internet is painfully slow and reminded us of dial-up, but that shouldn't detract from what is a fabulous cottage.
Thank you so much for your very kind and wonderful comments regarding Cream Door Cottage. We are delighted that you found our property a “dream find”. Regarding the internet provision unfortunately due to our semi rural location and being a long way from the “green cab” and no broadband fibre in the area we are at the mercy of broadband providers!! Hopefully, sometime in the near future our constant complaints will get results!! But thank you once again for your lovely comments. Lorraine and Ian Purcell Property Owner
"This was a lovely quaint little cottage which was well equipped."
Ideal location for us and our family as a base to visit different locations for kids activities. The Internet signal is poor, therefore limited TV channels. However, this played to our advantage as we spent more quality family time together playing cards and board games rather than playing on technology or ipads. Very clean and well equipped cottage.
We were delighted to learn that you were able to spend quality family time together in Cream Door Cottage which is what holidays are all about. It was good to hear that you made use of the board games/books/puzzles etc that are available for guests within our lovely cottage. Lorraine P Property Owner
"A lovely, spacious property which satisfied our every need."
It was well maintained by its very hospitable owners who filled us in with their vast local knowledge. The local "6 minute walk away" pub served wonderful food. We'd recommend the cottage to anyone who wanted a peaceful, relaxing holiday. Thank you Lorraine and Ian
It is always an anxious time when we have visitors stay in Cream Door Cottage, will they like it/will the cottage come up to expectations? As you can imagine we were delighted to read your lovely and positive comments about the accommodation. We do try very hard to make all our guests feel welcome and we even organised lovely weather for your stay! Thank you for leaving such a great review and for your very kind gifts on leaving which were really appreciated. Lorraine and Ian Purcell Property Owner
"The cottage was immaculate and had everything we wanted."
We especially liked the pretty conservatory. Cottage was in a beautiful, peaceful location, but not too remote. Just right for us as we were visiting family. Lorraine gave us a warm welcome. We really couldn't fault anything and will definitely return if we visit the area again.
What a wonderful review and thank you so much for your comments which are really respected. We are so pleased that you enjoyed your holiday in our cottage. Cream Door Cottage is just tucked away in a very peaceful location with lots of open space but very close to a good road network and main line stations. Thank you once again. Lorraine and Ian Purcell Property Owner

The owners, Lorraine and Ian, were on site to welcome us on arrival and we enjoyed seeing them occasionally throughout our stay. The cottage is beautiful and equipped with everything we needed during our stay. We loved the location and hope to visit again to explore the surrounding area.

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a positive review. We are so pleased that you had a good week in Cream Door Cottage. It is always lovely to read such great comments. It takes a lot of hard work to keep the cottage as we would wish for our guests to enjoy. Many thanks once again. Lorraine and Ian P Property Owner
"Amazing cottage and very welcoming hosts."
We loved every minute and felt at home straight away, thank you.
"The cottage was beautifully clean, spacious, comfortable and well equipped."
Our only slight criticism was that the hot water kept running out in the shower, so we had to be really quick. Our son really appreciated the large lawn at the front for playing football and the owners were very welcoming. Ideal location for half-term holiday with the children as there was lots to do within a short drive away. The local pub also did really nice food.
"Ian and Lorraine were so very welcoming and also very helpful to our friends who's satnav went a little astray."
The little basket of goodies was a lovely touch on entering this spacious cosy cottage with all the facilities you could wish for and at the centre of an area full of places of interest with no shortage of somewhere to eat out. It was so faultless apart from two pieces missing from the 1000 piece jigsaw but I'll let you find out which they are !!!! Have fun we did
"Had a lovely week at Cream Door Cottage."
The cottage was so cozy and beautifully decorated such lovely touches make it a real home from home it is so well equipped with quality items. The hosts met us on arrival and were very friendly. A good base for exploring local attractions. Would not hesitate to recommend the cottage.
"Had a lovely relaxing stay at cream door cottage."
A real 'home from home'. Lots to see and do in the area.
"Very well equipped cottage , spacious and comfortable with a very welcoming host."
"A great cottage with a lovely garden in a peaceful location."
"Beautiful, extremely well-equipped, tranquil cottage and garden with friendly owners."
Excellent base for exploring the area.
"We were a party of 4 and having the two bedrooms with en-suite was a big bonus, allowing us to have our privacy."
The cottage is excellent in fact the second time we have stayed, the first time for our friends who were impressed with all aspects of the cottage. We were able to relax completely and enjoy the lovely surroundings. We did make use of the great garden but the weather was very unpredictably which was a shame. A wonderful holiday cottage for all seeking a home from home.
"The cottage was extremely clean and I couldn't fault anything."
We had a short but wonderful stay.
"Lovely cottage with many features to make people feel comfortable."
Very helpful and kind owners
"Cream Door Cottage is immaculately clean."
The standard of the accommodation is exceptional. There is plenty of everything you need and more and everything is to an excellent standard, including the fact that the knives for preparing food are actually sharp and fit for purpose. There were also nice little touches such as usb sockets on some of the electrical sockets. A welcome pack of coffee and walnut cake, a bottle of water and some fruit was lovely. There were also tea bags and sugar in containers. The outside space is the best we have seen in our many cottage rentals with a beautifully planted border and a table and chairs for eating al fresco if desired. Ian and Lorraine were very friendly and welcoming.
"One of the cleanest places we've ever stayed in with a lovely furnishings and excellent facilities and comfort."
Hosts were really welcoming, despite Covid restrictions on interactions. Thank you.
"It is a fantastic cottage and the little touches - Christmas decorations and a welcome cake - made it that bit special."
It really was a home from home.
"Lovely, comfortable cottage with friendly and helpful hosts."
We enjoyed our week at Cream Door cottage. There was everything we needed for a relaxing week.
"A wonderful cottage, extremely well equipped with more than enough crockery, cutlery and etc."
with quality fixtures and fittings which made for a perfect week. This is probably the nicest cottage we have stayed in over the years we have booked through you - the owners are very hospitable and left a nice "welcome" pack. We have no hesitation in recommending "Cream Door Cottage".
"Very comfortable cottage and very very clean."
Made us very welcome.
"I have stayed at many cottages and Cream Door is the best."
It has a lovely atmosphere and excellent facilities. The conservatory is so peaceful and relaxing. The owners are friendly and approachable. It's well situated. Couldn't ask for more. A big thank you to Lorraine and Ian
"We had a wonderful stay at Cream Door Cottage, which is ideally located for visiting West Midlands Safari Park (10 minutes away), Ludlow Castle and Bridgnorth (where the oldest and steepest funicular railway is located)."
The owners are absolutely lovely and are very helpful without being imposing. The cottage itself is like a home from home and offers everything you could possibly need. The conservatory was the place we always gravitated towards each evening after a busy day sightseeing and the secluded garden is perfect for dining alfresco. The cottage was immaculately presented and a very thoughtful welcome package awaited us upon arrival. Take a stroll to the end of the driveway to see the fluffy neighbours, a field full of alpacas! Recommend 100%
"Lovely owners and very approachable."
Cottage was beautiful and really clean which was very important in the current climate. Would love to stay there again.
"Great cottage in a great area lots to see and do Friendly owners very clean and well equipped cottage"
"Fantastic cottage, everything we wanted."
Lorraine and Ian were very helpful. Would definitely stay again when visiting Kidderminster.
"We found this cottage to be one of the best we have rented, and we have rented many."
Unfortunately due to ill health we had to come home early, which was very disappointing for us. Cream Door Cottage is everything one would want for a very restful, relaxing break away, and we hope that we may be able to return again soon.
"Lovely comfortable cottage & generous welcome pack on our arrival."
Well situated for visiting Worcester, Severn Valley Railway & Black Country Museum. Also lovely National Trust properties to visit.
"The hosts very welcoming and a lovely welcome hamper for our enjoyment."
Cottage beautiful, well equipped, very comfortable and spacious. The conservatory is certainly an added bonus. Would certainly book again.
"Delightful cottage, nice part of the country and very pleasant, helpful owners."
"Just to say how much we enjoyed Cream Door cottage - Lorraine and Ian had thought of everything!"
"A lovely cottage."
Very comfortable and well equipped. Very nice hosts. Well situated.
"Gorgeous cottage in a great location, very friendly hosts."
Cottage was spotless and very well equipped, we didn't realise there wasn't a freezer of any kind and having ordered frozen products to arrive the hosts very kindly went out and got a freezer! Great location for exploring all the many national trust properties around the area plus the black country museum and blists hill Victorian town. Good selection of pubs to eat not too far away, highly recommend the tap House hartlebury. The cottage really was our home for a week we all very much enjoyed it and the weather.
"We stayed at Cream Door cottage and thoroughly enjoyed our time there."
It was very well appointed and comfortable. It is tucked away off the main road in beautiful garden surrounds. Having parking was great as we had a hire car. Our hosts were lovely and we were given a welcome basket of goodies which was a nice touch too. Highly recommend Cream Door Cottage to anyone wanting to stay near Kidderminster.
"This review is a month late."
Many apologies. Not intentional! Cream Door Cottage can be thoroughly recommended. A warm welcome on arrival followed by a cup of tea and a slice of cake from the welcome pack marked the start of what was to be an excellent week. The cottage was very comfortable with plenty of space for the two of us. Indeed there would have been plenty of space for four, be it two couples or a family of four. The second twin bedroom had an en-suite just as well equipped as the double, so there should be no disappointment from the children or a second couple. There was plenty of space to spread, with a conservatory leading off from the comfortable and spacious living room. The two bedrooms were not lacking in space either, and with a TV in each and a third in the living room, three differing tastes in TV entertainment could be accommodated simultaneously. It does say somewhere in the blurb that the floors are rather uneven. I wouldn’t argue with that, but after about two days I’d finally got my sea legs and I was fine after that. (Of course, that’s an exaggeration somewhat...) The unevenness adds to the charm! The cottage was very warm, when we needed it to be, with an easily operated boiler control. The timer was set to reasonable on/off times and we were able to use the one hour over-ride button when we stayed up late. Heating was extended to the conservatory, though we turned that right down as we didn’t need it in the evening. There was an electric oil radiator in there too, so I would think in winter time that room would be as cosy as the rest of the cottage. There is a very attractive cottage garden to the rear with table and chairs for al fresco dining. We didn’t take advantage but looked a very pleasant and secluded place to eat. There’s plenty of space at the front for two cars to park. The main reason for booking Cream Door Cottage was so we could visit a relative who is confined to wheelchair and have days out with her and her husband. Of course the cottage is totally unsuitable for a wheelchair user as a holiday base, but she did visit us one day and we found it just possible to get her in her wheelchair through the front door (with the aid of a ramp) and into the living room. Of course anyone else booking the cottage is unlikely to need that ‘feature’, but I mention it, just in case. All in all, Cream Door Cottage makes an excellent base for a couple, family of three or four, or family of three or four. We never did find the cream door though...
"The cottage is extremely well appointed with everything you could ever need."
Possibly the best holiday cottage we have ever stayed in It was in a good location for visiting/walking in the Stourport area and the Wyre Forest plus the Malvern Hills . Worcester and Hartlebury Castle were interesting places to visit .
"We stayed over the Easter weekend 2019 with our two children."
The cottage was lovely. Very clean and presentable. We had everything plus more to make our time there comfortable. For us the garden and the morning room were most relaxing. There was plenty for kids to keep busy with. Location was excellent for us with a day on nearby steam railway and another day running around Malvern Hills. Our six years comments were, "this is the bestist cottage we ever stayed in" Thank you Ian and Lorraine.
"We found the cottage to be very well equipped, cosy and very peaceful."
The owners were very pleasant and helpful people.
"The cottage totally exceeded our expectations, amd we wished that we had been staying for longer."
The kitchen is particularly well-equipped. The owners (who live in the adjacent property) are very friendly and helpful but not remotely intrusive. We are looking forward to our next visit. I should add that we did not choose the cottage for a holiday, but rather to provide one of us with a quiet space to write, and the other a convenient base for work during that particular week, so cannot comment upon it as a holiday destination. I am happy for my feedback to be published (and sent to the owners) but any publication must be anonymous.
